When I was younger and just found out this place I was so filled with hope. Witchcraft and the occult in general always gave me hope back then because my life was painful, lonely, and traumatic. When I found out the real deal back then I was so happy.
Since then I’ve adapted the ToZ stance on the reality of witchcraft. Workings are not a one shot deal, to succeed at one thing you might even need years of consistency, work, and repetition.
Recently, I’ve met girls and love interests who are spiritual and open and interested in witchcraft. I try to help and introduce them to concepts. However, deep down I’ve been reflecting that the reality of witchcraft is much more depressing and routine than what people might think of magick and the occult. Because they are probably at the hopeful phase that magick is like this really powerful thing and solution that will give them a fix.
I’ve been avoiding doing any workings and I deep down just feel the effort, time, patience, consistency required from just working at one part is not worth it at all, I would rather ignore the problem.
I’ve an almost chronic problem with patience and consistency that shows in my chart also so in the times that I do stay consistent, there’s nothing “magical” about the results I get, for example I do a money working for months and I’m not richer, I’m maybe at the same point, I know it accumulates and helps, but really what’s the point. I’d expect doing a money spell would make me rich, in a relatively acceptable time frame. While the reality is you have to do money spells for years, not to get rich but to see improvement.
I do believe that ToZ is the peak of spirituality and witchcraft, so if this the best I can get and it doesn’t do much (unless done for years with consistency and focus) then what’s really the point?
This is also when I have extremely good karma with wealth and money (but have been going through a dry patch for 4-5 years now). Then I don’t even want to imagine what’s needed to fix my deeper rooted problems like healing trauma, mental illness, addiction problems.
Reality has been so depressing to me lately as I’m growing older and dealing with the hands I’m dealt, I’m also struggling with clinical depression for a while now that comes and goes. I think I have almost gave up and I just keep doing some things that I’m doing.
I don’t think I can ever figure out how to have the consistency needed to actually grow and build some serious power. I would be consistent and doing wonderfully for few months, then depression is triggered and when I’m depressed, I won’t tell you I don’t just don’t meditate, I actually do nothing at all.
I think I’m just a lost cause, because I can’t save myself. I don’t have enough energy to deal with life and do what’s needed. I don’t believe in “keep going and stay strong it will work out” anymore.
