Does anyone know why alot of straight people assume that gays are "self-destructive", "promiscuous", "lazy", overall don't wanna do anything with their lives, and have a bad "lifestyle"? It gets on my nerves. Every time I tell people that I'm a lesbian and I have dreams and whatnot, they either laugh or think I'm lying or something. They also think I'm gonna end up in jail, doing drugs, or other inane things. Ok, I'm in college and a double major, don't smoke, drink, do drugs, never been in jail, hardly ever get into fights, don't go to clubs to "scope" for sexual partners or to binge drink, and other stupid crap people my age group( I'm 18) do. While my college peers get DWIs and get high at the club( or whereever), I spend my time reading about subjects like psychology and physics and writing my novels and songs. Speaking of which,I wanna be novelist and start a charity for young troubled lesbians and bi sexual females. If you knew about my dark past( read my previous posts to see what I mean),you have to admit that's pretty impressive. Tch, I wish more straight people, especially blacks( I'm not being racist; I'm black myself), had similar lifestyles and dreams. If that was the case, the world would be a much better, more productive place. Anyone agree?
