Hi all. I have been struggling to find work and I recently started with a contract roofer. He paid me for the first day but he hasn't got me back for the second 12-hour day. We had finished the job and we aren't starting the next one for a little while.

It was a very hot day and I gave 110%. He responded to me yesterday and today that he'd pay me yet he still hasn't yet. He keeps putting it off to a later day. I might wait a bit longer, though it's trying for me to do so.

Anything in terms of contract jobs in construction appears to be highly precarious. #1 - work and payment goes by word-of-mouth, and #2 - it's common to encounter people who, albeit present well (who appear altruistic, life-loving and family-oriented), have within themselves immense stress and emotional insecurity, often leading to and resulting from poor diet and substance abuse.

I'm feeling quite angered from this situation and I'm not sure how to approach this. If and when it comes to it I'd like to get even because people taking advantage of others is something that I could never tolerate.

For one that is still a beginner, what actions can be taken? Directing energy & binding ritual? I think someone like that should face financial repercussion as he is very well off given he has a business on the side and a $100,000 truck. Mind you, he has several young kids, smokes a pack a day, eats junk food and drinks energy drinks everyday. It boggles my mind how he can still work as well as he does, not to mention posses strong intellect in spite of his lifestyle and being a past dropout and a former gang member. I suspect that he did a 180 from being around and using drugs but he still has a lot of traumas and self-esteem issues.

What do you suppose I should do if he doesn't pay up? My emotions are all over the place to be honest and any advice would seriously help a lot.

Thank you for reading.
