The Banishment of Apep: Complete Public Explanations and Aspects of the Ritual
The Banishment of Apep is the most existentially defining spiritual operation a human being can perform, the single spiritual experience where cosmology, theology, personal transformation, and civilisational survival meet into one existentially defining operation, and the degree to which a person or a civilisation understands what this ritual encodes, and it’s unseen effects overflowing from it, is the differentiator between heaven and hell as lived realities on this earth.
Every question about why civilisations rise and collapse, why the body heals or decays, why the mind clarifies or fragments, why the connection to the Divine strengthens under discipline and dissolves under neglect, traces back to the operative principle this ritual was given by the Alien Envoys and the Gods Themselves. What follows barely touches what the Banishment actually does and what it connects to, because the full picture ties into the origin of evil, the architecture of creation, the nature of consciousness, and the cosmological and theological mechanics upon which the structure of the universe is built by the creator Gods and Supreme God.
Apep, as a personification we'll explain about, sits at the apex of a hierarchy of ḫftyw (enemies) and sbyw (rebels) and “criminals”. He's the only “entity” whose relationship to the rest of reality is pure antagonism, pure pressure against the structural coherence of everything that exists. The quotations on the entity is because he is actually a personified, for functional comprehension, cumulation of Izfet in the most destructive active form, having forces of agency and structure, definitely with a highest anti-intelligence. The closest comparison for someone coming from an Abrahamic frame is the Devil, and that'll get you through the door if you need a starting point, but it breaks down almost immediately once you're initiated because Apep operates as a principle of dissolution as part of the fabric of reality itself, the abrahamic lens is one of a children mind and disregarding deep cosmological relations to what actually Apep is. He's closer to an anti form law of nature that's accumulated enough mass to act as an agent, amusing enough the Agent Smith is a much more better relational description in practical reality.
The entire reality is built on sound and understanding the principles that sound emanates we understand deliberate intelligence in creation and everything that exists. In this case, from the current sources, the name Apep (ꜥꜣpp) has a closest connection runs to a semitic word meaning "to slither". It is defined by many as “evil”. However the Kabalistic interplay here is actually extremely sacred. The Egyptian verb ꜥpp, meaning "to fly across the sky, to travel". The Egyptians understood that words sharing the same sound share the same deep reality.
The name ꜥꜣpp, seen through its own components, is ꜥꜣ + pp: "the great flyer" "the great one who traverses" "the great mover across the sky". The chaos serpent who stops the solar barque from flying has a name that contains "great" and "flight". As we can refer back to 12 Gates of Ra, the Sun as RA God sails across the heavens in a barque, a divine vessel, completing the circuit that keeps the world alive, every sunrise is the barque rising (The Sun), every sunset is the barque descending into the underworld to be renewed, and the continuation of that flight is the continuation of existence itself. Apep is the force that stops the barque. He coils around it, obstructs its path, tries to swallow it whole, and if he ever succeeded fully the Sun would never rise and creation would collapse back into the formless waters it was drawn from. His name contains the very thing he prevents: the great flight, the great traversal, turned against itself, the great movement becomes the great obstruction. The slaying of Apep is what enables the barque to move. He's the great flight that became the great grounding, the great movement that became the great obstruction, the traverser of the sky who now blocks the sky from being traversed. This is the reality of duality and magnetism. I think also you can see how workings and strides in existence do have backlashes, a very natural law of existence via Apep.
Apep historically was defined more into a recognisable form around the Middle Kingdom, roughly 2000 BCE, and this follows a divine timing that carries meaning and was also operated into the transformation and full birth of Temple of Zeus: the principle of dissolution only became identifiable as a concentrated force when the divine order itself became structured enough to produce its own antithesis. Apep condensed out of the background noise of formless dissolution at the precise moment when the Gods organised themselves into a coherent enough structure that the pressure working against that structure accumulated enough mass to act on its own. Only after Order we can perceive the chaos that reigned in.
Apep embodies what we call izfet: the cosmic opposite of Ma'at, the antithesis of order, truth, justice, and everything that holds the created world together. Ma'at is the force that holds chaos back from overwhelming the world while izfet is the pressure she holds back, and Apep is that pressure given form, given mass, given agency and intelligence. He operates simultaneously at every level of reality: cosmic, political, social, medical, personal, spiritual, all at once, all the time, because the dissolving, annihilating chaos force doesn't respect the boundaries we draw between categories of experience, neither your feelings. It is the very brutal and the no mercy part of life of pure chaos that seeks to undermine you at every turn, the backlash and the matrix revolting itself against the order you try to cultivate. The Egyptians used the expression "sandbank of Apophis" to describe drought and famine during periods of civilisational collapse, is the same force that dries fields, fills human bodies with disease, and fragments the mind until destruction. When the barque is on the sandbank, Apep has the grips on it, and it doesn't matter whether the sandbank manifests as a blocked artery, a crumbling government, a broken family, a diseased innocent human, or a soul that's forgotten what it came here to do, the operative cause is the same, and the ritual of Banishing of Apep addresses this force at the deepest root rather than chasing its symptoms across a thousand different surfaces. This has existential implications that we can explain somewhat artificially in public. What follows must be spiritually understood as the religious aspects of this need a spiritual mind, a metaphoric and inner perception sight, not a rational one.
The ancient Egyptian texts place the forces of chaos inside the creator himself, prior to the existence of anything else, and this is the source of what the Yehuboric tradition later compressed and falsified into the concept of "Original Sin" - as High Priest Zevios defined to me in private discussions over related subjects of this.
The spiritual idea and the deep existential phenomenon, is the act of self separation, a generative outward projection force, from which the ONE became more than ONE. This split, this division, is the act of reproduction (that was carried over in falsified forms). If the One is the Supreme Good form, the number two, is becoming to be more distant that the One itself, and then, the number Three, is even more than number 2, and therefore the creation emanation coming out of the one is leveled in the Dimensions, some more close to God some more Distant.
The act of creation implies to give and to generate a being in a dual creation, where both evil and good exist, look around you. This is a spiritual concept, relating to the spiritual soul being far from God. The way light radiating from a single point grows dimmer with distance without ever ceasing to be light. This is the architecture of the dimensions: some closer to God, some further, each level a further elaboration of the original division, each carrying both the creative potency and the increasing distance that comes with separation from the source.. The beauty and the brutality, the coherence and the chaos, the capacity for divine communion and the capacity for total spiritual amnesia all coexist in the same field because the field itself was produced by an act of separation that carries both the blessing of existence and the cost of distance from the One who generated it. The "Original Sin" is the generative act, self-separation, self-sacrifice of the “body” - material, of GOD: it's the creative act itself, the first division, the moment God's unity fractured into the multiplicity that makes you a separate being capable of reading these words while simultaneously being a separated being capable of forgetting where you came from. And the soul's condition in this world, its suffering, its confusion, its hunger for something it can feel but can't name, is the direct consequence of its distance from the source, a distance that the act of creation made necessary. This is the great mystery of existence.
High Priest Zevios stated:
“ ZEFS - The one who binds together DIAS - The one who divides ZINAS - the life manifested by the interplay of the above; life itself”
We are of divine birth, from the creator's own body before existence began.
Apep is stated directly as: the umbilical cord (npꜣ) of Re: "Back, Apep, that umbilical cord of Re, that intestine of the viscera." This has a lot of layers of meaning: One of material earth expelled from the umbilical cord and the intestines (creating Earth, material dimension), the act of feeding creation, the act of birth, and the act of cutting the chain that keeps “FLYING” - code for ascension possible.
The navel point of the human, and figurative body of God, is where the duality point happens, desire and guilt, creation, release. Once the divine emanation of existence was released from the One, projected, the umbilical cord, as we the existence a child of God, has been cut, therefore separated from God. Evil in Egyptian theology is the biological remnants, as in the material reality that is void of its creator, where both evil and good happen. Apep possesses divine power, the same operative force the Gods wield while at the same time being severed from the divine purpose that once directed it. However, it has a polar meaning as well, such as the pre-birth state, the undifferentiated condition is one of death and non existence. We actually celebrate existence and being ALIVE, and we will see via the name of Zeus.
As the above is a bit formless we will explain more practical in how our reality is manifested and the living things. The cosmos tends toward dissolution unless actively sustained, truth must be spoken or it vanishes, justice must be enacted or it collapses, we have to labour ceaselessly to maintain the order of the world against the ever-present pressure of chaos, entropy.
The Supreme God in the creation of existence as Supreme Zefs, carries four sounds: Ι, Α, Ε, O. The Tetractys. Every living thing on this earth, from bacteria to the trees rooted outside your window to the body you're reading this with, runs on a code written in four letters: A, C, G, T. Adenine, cytosine, guanine, thymine. Four bases that pair into two pairs (A-T, C-G) and combine in permutations to produce every organism that has ever lived across three billion years of biological existence on this planet. The structure that carries this code is the double helix: two strands coiled around each other, held together by the base pairs that lock A to T and C to G across the gap between the strands. Two serpents, intertwined, bound into coherent structure by the force that pairs them. The serpents are the raw creative-destructive force, the same force of chaos serpent, the energy of dissolution and generation that can either slither formless through the primordial waters or be coiled into the architecture of a living cell. Unbound, the serpent is Apep: raw entropy, formless dissolution, the force that dissolves structure back into nothing. Bound by the base pairs, held in the double helix, coiled into the operational structure of DNA, the serpent becomes life itself, chaos pressed into the service of creation. Our own DNA is the act of Zeus binding Apep in an existential structure and rules based on the four letters of creation of all that is. Four letters that combine in permutations to generate everything that lives, carried in a structure of two bound serpents whose binding is the act of God: to exist.
Now as a force Apep, and the process that generates Apep is the act in itself of existence, creation, the continuous ordering activity of the Gods as in using your intelligence. It never stops, which means the entropic discharge never stops accumulating, which means the concentrated form reconstitutes. So as one human begins living, accumulating shadow, karma and confusion in the soul, this comes to an agentic interference that keeps you from manifesting your divine purpose and ethical living. As such you can understand it, being the shadow of light, and when light is generated Apep will come try eclipse it.
Set was the primary divine defender against the chaos serpent, the deity whose specific function in the solar barque was to stand on the prow with his spear and physically repel Apophis, and he held that role for the entire span of Egyptian civilisation's peak before a combination of foreign association and priestly politics stripped it from him.
Set stood on the prow of the boat of the sun god Re and repelled Apophis; he was "this aggressive warrior god and powerful thunder god, with his mighty scepter weighing 4,500 pounds, employed by the sun god to conquer the reptile." Isis contributed magic, but it was principally Seth's spear that brought down the enemy. He was Re's principal defender against Apophis, which is "a far cry from a 'god of confusion.'" In the Pyramid Texts, Set acts as a friend to the dead and even assists Osiris to reach heaven by means of a ladder. In the magical texts, the practitioner positions himself with "Seth on my right, Horus on my left" as dual protectors, that's the original arrangement, and it was functional. A dream-sending ritual from the Louvre papyrus preserves the older understanding in action: "Seth makes a slaughter against Apopis, slaughter against the evil one again. Fire, behold it! The night-bark sails in the night, the day-bark is quavering, heaven and earth are in a great fire."
The force capable of repelling the chaos serpent had to be of similar nature: violent, aggressive, capable of matching entropy's ferocity with equal and opposite ferocity. You don't send a gentle Deity against the principle of cosmic dissolution, you send the one whose controlled ferocity is the only thing that can match Apep's uncontrolled ferocity, and the modern spiritual tendency to sanitise all divine forces into love-and-light archetypes is a GRAVE error. Reality is functional and we must embody for survival the realities needs, in the ethical Gods frameworks.
The Banishment of Apep in Hall of Osiris is the original most supreme God given full ritual of this, it leaves NO VEHICLE for Apep to attack you anymore:
"They shall have no souls thereby, nor spirits nor bodies nor shades nor magic nor bones nor hair nor spells nor utterances nor words. They shall have no grave thereby, nor house nor hole nor tomb. They shall have no garden thereby, nor tree nor bush. They shall have no water thereby, nor bread nor light nor fire."
No souls, no spirits, no bodies, no shades, no magic, no bones, no spells, no utterances, no words, no grave, no house, no tomb, no garden, no water, no bread, no light, no fire. The annihilation extends across every register of existence: physical, spiritual, magical, social, architectural, agricultural, elemental. There's nothing left, no vehicle through which the force of Chaos can reconstitute, no channel through which it can return.
The ritual contains dimensional aspects that cannot be even written in comprehensive communication, for us to transmit the grand scale, from the micro to the macro effects of this ritual. Expelling the darkness and even the evil bacteria within to the global effect it has on the whole human race, at the same time.
It is the highest and most prized ritual public available for humanity in Hall of Osiris, capable of deleting even the viles shadows from this existence and from within, leaving a pure soul out, allowing you a resurrection and a new birth, free from any negative of life in the most deep and seen faces of it. The name Apep contains, in its own consonants, the word for flight, and the relationship between the two is the force that stops you from flying is named after flight itself, it's sitting on top of your capacity to fly, occupying the very channel it blocks existentially.
The Was-staff of Thoth at Dendur carries the secret directly: a serpent coiled around a central axis, held in the hand of the God of knowledge, the caduceus of Hermes. The serpent on the staff is the same serpent that slithers free as Apep when it's unbound, the same force that dissolves the barque when it's unchained, the same energy that destroys when it moves without structure. Coiled around the axis, bound to the staff, held by the hand of Thoth, it's the operative power of creation itself channelled through a structure that directs it rather than letting it run wild. The difference between Apep and the serpent on the Was-staff is a difference of binding, as we saw before the power of God to instate order and structure ladder of the existential creative force. Unbound: dissolution, chaos. Bound to the axis: the power flows through the channel upward, flowing to the upper dimensions to “the God” proximity, the Head.
This is what the Banishment of Apep actually accomplishes in the body and the soul of the person who receives it. The serpent force that the Indian tradition calls kundalini, the uraeus exists in every human body, coiled at the base, and in the uninitiated person it's either non existent or dormant: doing nothing, contributing nothing, the person lives and dies at the animal level without ever accessing what they carry or it's active but unbound: moving without structure, without direction, expressing as imploded chaos, anxiety, compulsive thought, scattered creative force and self undoing. The Banishment is THE KEY.
Each body part of Osiris that Isis and Nephthys reassemble corresponds to a faculty that activates when the serpent force reaches the centre that governs it. The capacity that Apep blocks and that the Banishment restores, is ꜥpp: to fly. = to ASCEND.
