The atypical psychosis I experienced.
I had been experiencing atypical psychosis for two months. What I mean is that there were no visual or auditory hallucinations or delusions. There were only paranoias that did not reach the level of delusion—paranoias about someone casting spells on me and harming me.
I’ve been feeling okay for the past two weeks, but I don’t know if I’ve fully recovered. In this situation, I wonder if there is any downside to doing chakra meditations. I regularly do aura cleansing, protection practices, and hatha yoga and root chakra yoga. After doing root chakra meditation, I honestly felt more rational. Still, I’m curious whether there could be any harm in it.

I wouldn't call that a psychosis but worry caused by an over-active imagination. When you begin opening the soul, it illuminates what was otherwise unseen, including parts of your actual brain. This process can cause some new activity, leading to anxiety (etc); however, that's why it's important to clean and incorporate grounding practices, like yoga.

So, to answer your question from my own experience, empowering the chakras only exacerbates psychotic symptoms when done improperly, or if you are predisposed or diagnosed with severe mental disorders (but, in which case, you can compensate with a practical earthy approach to your routine.

Hello. Actually, what I experienced is not spiritually based. I think it happened because I went through stressful events. I wasn’t doing regular cleansing or protection practices at the time, but after what I experienced emerged, I started doing them regularly. Mantra meditation felt like it grounded me more than yoga. That’s why I would really like to continue with it. However, I had some concerns while practicing. I will take your comment into consideration. At least for now, I’m thinking of chanting mantras in small numbers. I’ve also started doing the awareness meditations in the meditation section. I think they will help ground me more. May I message you? I have a few questions.

Psychosis can be triggered by stress, and it does not always include all the typical symptoms of psychosis. Every case is individual.

Godspeed to your recovery. Grounding and calming practices are paramount here.
