My Ongoing Experience with Void Meditation and Ing Rune
As part of the full chakra meditation, I vibrate the Ingwaz rune (ᛜ) at my crown chakra each day, as the seed of life and anchor. The mind isn't completely under control, thoughts still arise and pull and sometimes overpower, but I'm finding that every Moon sign provides a unique portal to quietude.
Moon in Aries
The mind is quick, hot and ready with a charge in advance. The entrance to the silence is this very presence. If there's an impulsive flux of energy, I fall into this raw experience of “I AM here” right now, no past, no future, just naked presence.
Moon in Taurus
The mind is a bit steady but sensual and clinging. The door to stillness is deep embodied rooting. Comfort and thoughts turn slow and viscous in the psyche. Quietness is the substance of firmness, of stability.
Moon in Gemini
Mind races and noise just doesn't stop. Stillness is the spacious neutral witnessing of the door. The psyche evolves into a curious detachment, a lightness of identification. The chain reaction of thoughts is broken off, and stillness appears in the form of clear openness.
Moon in Cancer
There is a feeling of solitude in the psyche. Feelings and recollections move up and down. The door to stillness is nurturing inner holding. The psyche ceases from clinging to stories and feels held. Silence comes as an easy, sustaining peace. I begin to forget what we need to remember in order to feel safe emotionally.
Moon in Leo
The mind is active and fixed. The door to stillness is strong fixation on pure presence in the moment. I focus intently on myself and let my dignity and quietness abide in my simple being. The psyche drops its need for recognition and stillness comes as warm, luminous presence. That inner radiance eradicates ego thoughts.
Moon in Virgo
The mind is analytical and with some level of grounding. The door to stillness is crystalline purity. The psyche goes from calculation to pure witnessing. Stillness comes as a clarity of mind that is well-ordered. Minimal thoughts occur due to the purification and release of thoughts.
Moon in Libra
The mind strives for balance in the form of comparison and harmony. The grace of the door to stillness is the union of silence. The psyche relaxes its wavering. Quietness is like the harmony of graceful ease. A gentle rise and fall of thoughts, a sweet and balanced emptiness.
Moon in Scorpio
There is a great deal of intensity and obsession. Stillness comes as total surrender to silence itself. I dive into the depths without reluctance. The stillness comes in the form of intense silence like that of diamonds. This is the door where some of my most intense session of void meditation has occurred, but it can still jolt me.
Moon in Sagittarius
The mind is optimistic and with a feeling of limitless vastness. There is feeling of pure being. Stillness is broad, expansive, optimistic, and at the same time held and grounded. No longer need to go places to think.
Moon in Capricorn
The mind is detached, active and concentrated. Stillness starts at the door of patience, mountain endurance. The psyche masters discipline in the long-term. Rest comes in two forms: deep, unshakable and as if sitting on an old mountain. With time and practice, thoughts are cut away.
Moon in Aquarius
The mind is distant and is analytical with sudden thoughts. The door to stillness is liberated freedom. I recall myself into the pure awareness of independence. In random moments the psyche loses its identification with thought. Stillness comes as clarity. Mind is free and fixed.
Moon in Pisces
There is a feeling of solitude in the psyche. The mind is easily caught up in dreams, sadness or happiness. The door to stillness is the return to a feeling of limitless vastness. The soul relaxes and melts. The stillness comes in the form of boundless peace. The mind slips away into great emptiness.
Though not yet mastered, these doors have proven dependable. Every time it learns a little more: no forced stillness, only entered stillness. The mind loses its noise, the empty space draws nearer. I keep practicing.
Looking forward to your inputs. Discourse on practical application of the elements in balancing the soul and mind would be deeply appreciated. Discourse on how the elements behave in the moon signs is also appreciated.
