Israel to produce special masks in order to accommodate beards

I alread touched upon this when another user - I don't remember is Spectre or Ghost in the Machine - made his posts about various types of masks, cartridges/filtres and so on. I'll remark it.

Despite not believing in the usefulness of masks, people should be warned of this. Why do you think Israel wants special masks? The reason is simple and very logic not just for people who studied CBRN but also if one thinks about it logically: beards are a nuisance when it comes to wearing masks. You CANNOT keep your beard if you wear a mask, otherwise you may as well not use any mask, because a beard prevents the mask from adhering properly to the skin, allowing pathogens to get through regardless. So, if you wear a mask, be smart and not childish: SHAVE!

I don't recall making a post about gas masks but I believe I mentioned them. I have done thorough research on them though and own one.

But yes, gas masks are heavily reliant upon the suction grip around the face in order to prevent air leaks penetrating into the mask. The slightest opening or gap in the mask for air to seep through completely ruins it's entire purpose. Most gas masks have an inner 'lip' to encase the nose and mouth region but these are more for grip and fitting as the mouth and jaw moves, making the encasing of the inner lip inaffective.

A beard compromises the suction of the mask and everyone in any job or position where a gas mask is required knows full well they need to keep relatively clean-shaven. There is no possibility of an effective gas mask that can contain a beard and any 'potential' one will have huge dangerous flaws in structure that can be far too easily compromised.
