Seeking advice on simple magick

Yep, I am seeking advice on simple magick. It's currently confusing me, but I don't understand how to word affirmations when dealing with another person. Specifically I want to have my dad give me back my permission to play games(it was outside my control, but being Baptist, asserts his authority anyways). I've used several different magick methods, I feel his desire to let me, but nothing has pushed him over the edge to let me play again...
I figure it's my wording. Sometimes I'll use the word "target" for performing the action, or I'll specifically used "my dad, <name"...where, of course, "target" is my dad.

Any advice on proper wording would be invaluable, for now and for the future, as my voice is my tool for energy working.

Its not JUST based on wording. Its how you feel and your desire. For example let's say someone is casting a love spell to find love. The person won't just raise the energy and say affirmations and words so blankly you have to say your affirmations and words with desire and feel yourself in the presentense. Feel and see yourself in love and feeling all the feelings that you do when in love. Also, see yourself with someone etc. Next rime you are doing a spell ise affirmations along with DESIRE and visualization. Make sure you arte raising the enrgy well whether is be by using runes, breathing in energy or visualization with a strong focus.Your affirmation can be simple as "My father IS allowing me to freely play me video games" While saying this you can see him allowing you play the games, being nice to you about it and see yourself freely playing them. But I hope you are not overdoing the video games thing and are doing daily power meditation. I myself
know how distracted it can be. When I was new I played some video games for HOURS straight. And neglected a lot of my meditations so yea...
