A lot of people strongly underestimate how powerful of an influence parents have on your self-esteem, even after you've long cut contact with them or at least aren't living with them. It can stay with you for life, positive or negative. Depending on your chart, your father or your mother may have a stronger influence on your self-esteem.

There is a lot of variety here. Some were raised by very loving parents who gave them a powerful sense of self-esteem, others by very abusive parents. Some were raised by parents who spoiled them and let them do whatever they want, others by strict parents who tried to control every aspect of their lives. Some only had their father, or mother for various reasons. Some had no parents at all and were raised by other family members, step-parents or by foster care. No matter what, whoever raised you during these young, vunerable and moldable years has A LOT of influence on how you currently view yourself, your abilities and so on, even if you don't notice it or want to admit it.

This post will be mainly directed at those who mainly had negative experiences, whatever those were. No matter what you went through, you need to heal the effects they have place on you, for your sake more than anything. The vast majority of the trauma, anxiety, rage, depression ect that you feel likely comes from certain events in your early life and how you were raised.

I recommend HPS Lydia's post on healing the emotional body:

Also, I believe that it is very important to lean on the Gods and meditate on Their Love for you, which will have a healing effect on your self-esteem.
Depening on your chart and life experiences, I would say that if the mother had a stronger influence on you, I'd recommend God rituals for Goddess Astarte as She is the Mother of us all. If your father had a stronger influence on your self-esteem, then rituals and connecting with Father Zeus should help in healing that trauma.

No matter what you've experienced, know that The Gods are there for you. Zeus is your Father. Astarte is your Mother. They love you no matter what and will always believe in you. If you need to, lean on Them, strongly if necessary.

They are always here for you. Never doubt that.

Not to be misunderstood, it's essential to meditate on both Zeus and Astarte, as both the father and mother have influences on you, but from your chart reading you will see which one has a stronger influence on you overall and on which aspects of your life they have had an affect on you, positive or/and negative.
