Origin of Hazel Eyes?

Does someone of you know the origin of Hazel eyes?
Are they a result of a mixture?

Are they a result of a mixture?

From what i learned on school last year is that there is no gene for the Hazel and the green eyes so probably yes !Form what I heard it is a result of mixture with blue and brown eyes (but the brown eye genes should not be very dominant so the blue eye genes can express)
