So I'm prescribed opiates and have a physical dependence on them. I hate it. Well I ran out a few days early and I feel like crap. I feel like running out has messed up my chakras and When I tried to meditate I just gave up. Over 24 hours has passed since my last meditation. I am super good about doing yoga and usually 45 min to an hour meditation per day. I am gonna prolly try again here in a bit but am worried that this is going to hamper my progress.

You can ween off using immodium, the diarrhea medication is is very weak and doesn't cross the blood brain barrier but because it affects intestinal receptors it has an indirect effect on you and should help.

Or take 1/8th or 1/4th off of your pills and taper off slowly that way.

Believe me I know. You can't judge another persons situation because you have not been on it... Remember that.

I've already been taking the Imodium a few days now and it helping take the edge off. Problem is when I take it I can't have a bowl movement at all so I can only use this method for a few days tops. I'm going to start weaning off as soon as I get my script.

It's really no big deal, get cheap magnesium oxide and take it with every pill. You'll get some mineral supplementation (oxide sucks but still ok) with the constipation relief or buy gas x or a laxative. The magnesium as an NMDA antagonist is said to reverse tolerance but I'm not sure if for long term but it helps relax.

You can massage your belly from ascending colon, transverse and descending colon.

Try inducing endorphins by doing exercise or something.

Thanks for the tips! Being on the loperamide for those days helped to lower my tolerance a bit it seems. When I got my script I was able to start on less then a 3rd of the dose I was originally on. Gonna taper from here.
