I had to address this in the Teens For Satan e-group. Teenagers have it rough, living with Christian or other unsupportive individuals. Then there's peer pressure, drugs, etc. A lot of teenage life can lead to depression and even suicide. Being GLBT doesn't make matters any easier, of course.
When asking how to extract the blood for the Dedication to Satan ritual, the person asking the question asked if they were supposed to "cut their wrists," even though the Dedication ritual says to use your left index finger. This really goes to show how the atmosphere is very poisonous for teens. Someone in that e-group immediately corrected them.
For dedicating one's soul to Satan (a partnership and initiation with Satan and Satanism), one does not need large amounts of blood, nor does one need to cut in ways that are dangerous. Self-torture is *not* a part of Satanism or Satan's Will.
To extract blood from the left index finger, all that is needed is a sterilized needle. When I made my Dedication, I bought the short ended needles that are used by diabetics. All you have to do is press the needle into your finger and use your thumb to add enough pressure to squeeze a drop or a couple drops of blood out.
You don't have to spell your name out clearly. All that is needed is a drop or two of blood so you can "scribble" out your signature, so to speak.
Striving for perfection is a part of Satanism, BUT, when it comes to the Dedication to Satan ritual, it can't be said enough that what is in your heart is more important than how much blood you can squeeze out, or how neatly you can sign your name.
Satan can see our intentions and efforts.
Wrist-cutting is not needed, nor wanted by Satan. Satan expects us to take care of our minds and bodies. In taking care of our minds and bodies, this in turn helps to assist in taking care of our souls that Satan gave us.
In Dedicating our souls to Satan, he doesn't take our souls or even a part of it, as dim bulb Christians would have you believe. He blesses and touches our souls and gives us the safety to travel on the left hand path with much more security than those who don't do the ritual, or aren't Spiritual Satanists.
