My old friend shows up very often in my dreams

We were friends in primary school. She wasn't some special friend to me (BFF). An ordinary friend. After we finished elementary school, I forgot about her. She has been in my dreams for several years now. Sometimes she was in my dreams every day. This is strange to me because we have never been very close. We just liked each other.
Maybe we once knew each other? In one of the previous incarnations...
What do you think about it?

Maybe you have meet with he/she in past life. But I think it is more like subconscious longing.
