About Hotel California:
Oh, no. Its not about herion addiction. It's about Zevism!
“The Eagles’ 1976 album “Hotel California” has sold more than 16 million copies, spawned a best-record Grammy, and is regarded by numerous rock critics as one of the best albums ever. Its title track, the haunting “Hotel California” continues to entrance listeners even though during its heyday the song was on the charts for only nineteen weeks and in the number one spot for only one”.
I remember HP Mageson broke this song down masterfully in an older Sermon. I searched for over an hour for it in the wayback machine to no avail. Couldn't find it. So, I'll try to explain in my own words. If I forget something or make a mistake, I'm sure someone will be more than happy to correct me. And if anyone has the link to that Sermon could you please provide it? Thanks
On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light
My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim
I had to stop for the night
Shimmering light – the astral light in the third eye. He has to lie down. Going into trance state, having a 'trip'. Seeing visions.
There she stood in the doorway
'She' being the Goddess Astaroth. She's known for causing one to have prophetic dreams and/or visions about the future and giving insight into the unknown, which is what this song is all about.
Doorways are always symbolic of crossing over into another dimension. The singer is entering another dimension. When we do past life regression for example:
“When you have reached a deep trance state, visualize yourself walking towards a door in your mind. As you walk towards the door, tell yourself when you walk through the door, you will enter into your past life”.
I heard the mission bell
He's referring to entering the astral. Interestingly, many times I've heard the moment when one is about to go out of body, you will hear a humming, or a tone, or a buzzing. For some it tolls like a BELL. I personally always heard it as like a humming of bees. I'd lay down on my bed, enter trance, hear the humming buzz of the bees (as I thought of them) and that was the signal I could go. And then I'd will myself out of my body and take off. Go explore.
And I was thinking to myself,
"This could be Heaven or this could be Hell"
Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way
There were voices down the corridor,
I thought I heard them say...
'She' stood in the doorway. She lit a light and showed the way. Astaroth has worked with and for Humanity from the very beginning. Astaroth is a very ancient Goddess. She has been with humanity, as have Zeus and Baal Zebul, since the beginning.
She is the true "Queen of Heaven" (sumerian) a title stolen by Christians and used for their fictitious "Virgin Mary" which is an imposter. She's also called "Light of the World," in Babylonian. Zeus is the Light Bringer, She is His Daughter. She 'lit up a light'. Its symbolic of Her.
So, this song is describing a dream or a 'vision' and there they are met by The Lady. Who says:

Her mind is Tiffany-twisted, she got the Mercedes bends
She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys she calls friends
How they dance in the courtyard, sweet summer sweat.
Some dance to remember, some dance to forget
This is a reference to the May Dance, a Pagan celebration, Young people (pretty boys), young women, and others dance this dance. Some danced to remember, others to forget. Its just a reference to a pagen ritual which happens in the spring/summer.
So I called up the Captain,
"Please bring me my wine"
He said, "We haven't had that spirit here since nineteen sixty nine"
This is a reference to the Spirit of Zeus returning to the mainstream, as Alester Crowley brought Zeus into the public consciousness with the Church of Zeus, Founded April 30, 1966 c.e. by Anton Szandor LaVey where it hit the mainstream consciousness by 69. Theres a Sermon on this subject (Anton etc) but I forget the link. If someone has THAT, could you please give it to us here?
And still those voices are calling from far away,
Wake you up in the middle of the night
This is a reference to past lives, voices calling to you in the middle of the night, in dreams, from faraway, from other places and times that the Soul remembers....when You were Dedicated to Zeus in another life. You are a Zevist Soul and this remembrance is there, in the Soul and it calls to you.

They livin' it up at the Hotel California
What a nice surprise (what a nice surprise)
Bring your alibis
So you see, Hotel California is referring to Zevism. You Dedicate, and its for all time.
Mirrors on the ceiling,
The pink champagne on ice
And she said "We are all just prisoners here, of our own device"
Meaning we all Dedicate to Father Zeus of our own free will. Zeus has no need of nor interest in slaves. We are not forced or coerced, as people are to the Xian 'gawd'.
And in the master's chambers,
They gathered for the feast
They stab it with their steely knives,
But they just can't kill the beast
I believe this part is a reference to how the enemy trys to kill Zevism, to end Zeus, and they 'just can't kill the 'beast'. I think there's more, but I forget, sorry
Last thing I remember, I was
Running for the door
I had to find the passage back
To the place I was before
"Relax, " said the night man,
"We are programmed to receive.
You can check-out any time you like,
But you can never leave! "
This just means, once you Dedicate your Soul to Zeus, its for ALL time. You can 'check out' - try to leave - go running back to the Xian Gawd – but your Soul is Zevist and always WILL BE.

Which, personally, I find to be a great comfort. Because I never want to!
