Hello,

I wanted to ask if a microwave for food is bad and killing the food or its not harmful as many people say? Whats your knowledge about it?

Hello :)

Microwaving does kill some nutrients, and it doesn't give prana. The best way to heat/cook food is over a fire, but this is not an option for most people.

Second best: using a flame stove top.

Third best: regular electric stove top, and cooking in an oven.

Microwave is last. However, most food is best eaten hot/warm, so it is still better to use a microwave than no option at all.

If you're heating up soup, try to heat it in a saucepan on the stove rather than in the microwave, for example.

I am not talking about magically or spiritually, as High Priestess Lydia Coventina already said. I recommend cooking everything on a pan on the stove over a gas flame.

But there is no health problems from a microwave itself. As long as you are using a glass or ceramic container that is safe for high temperature, and never use platic or metal in a microwave. It is not radiation like an xray or anything like that. It is just a magnetic field from AC voltage, so for 60Hz or 50Hz frequency AC main line voltage, the direction of the magnetic field reverses twice in every cycle. Water is a polar molecule with a magnetic north and south pole sides to it. So when the magnetic field switches directions 120 or 100 times every second, every water molecule physically rotates to align with it. And the friction from the water molecules rotating is what heats it up.

I respectfully disagree. From what I've seen microwaving food is harmful.

There is plenty online which states how microwave radiation is unnatural to the body and hurts health.

Microwave food also feels and tastes different to when heated in the oven or stove. It seems to alter its structure in some way.

It is heated in a different way as I described, where it is heated by friction of the water molecules from the inside. This is different from heating by conduction where the outside of the food is touching against something hot like hot air in an oven or a hot metal pan on the stove. So instead of the outside surface being cooked more, exposed to higher heats, and dried out, and the inside being cooked less and to a lower temperature. It is basically the opposite. In the microwave, the inside heats to a higher temperature and the outside does not cook as much or dry out as much. There can be physical differences from this reason.

The idea of microwaves being unhealthy comes from the frozen meals meant to be cooked in a microwave, which became extremely popular especially around the same times when microwaves were new and becoming very common. All of these frozen microwave meals are some of the lowest quality and poisonous things that you can get. Very low quality food to begin with with low quality ingredients, then filled with extreme amounts of salt and preservatives. People who eat a lot of these things will get very sick and unhealthy, so they start a rumor that the microwave itself is the bad thing. No, if you take those frozen meals that each have a week's worth of salt and a month's worth of preservatives and cook it on the stove or the oven, it will not solve the problem or make it any healthier.

I personally have purposely not owned a microwave in 15 years. My reasons are 1) the frequency of the microwave itself 2)I dont like how it makes a lot of food taste and. 3) I feel it harms the nutritional value.

Agreed, all points.
