In addition to what has been said, consistency is also the most important skill for self-actualization and overall advancement which can take time, conscious planning, and requires you to trust and keep promises to yourself.
Showing up for a meditation session each day needs to fit into your life and your list of personal priorities (!!!) so it can become a habit done unavoidably and of a religious importance.
This is a major step and a part of a person's life planning, this is why Zevism is so life-alteringly positive in all aspects, as you are forced to identify where you have been putting (maybe, even misplacing) your energy in ways that don't truly align with your personal goals for yourself and the kind of person you want to be ~ now and in 5-10 years time (it helps to write down a list of your priorities and a short accompaniment alongside each priority of why this is important to you).
You get to choose and decide to be the person who does x, y, and z daily instead of j, k, and l because of reasons a, b, and c.
It all starts with recognising and accepting that you have the power over all of your habits, actions and decisions.
Starting with just 5 minutes a day 'swaps'; where have you been wasting 5 minutes that you can replace with 5 minutes of intentional practice? (this can apply to every aspect of self-improvement, too) Like 5 minutes where you'd be mindlessly on social media, staying up late, snoozing your alarm, or playing a videogame.
You deserve to live a positive lifestyle that helps you grow into your dream self. This starts with small changes to your behaviour, gently and patiently reminding yourself with a list of why you are doing it every time you get demotivated (e.g., I would love to know who my Guardian Daemon is, I don't want to be stuck in the same situation or worse in 2 years, etcetera - this can be posted on your wall, or take the form of a vision board on your computer or whichever approach makes sense to you).
""Punishing"" yourself with more meditations to make up for yesterday's slacking, or with a negative mental spiral of guilt and shame is anti-productive as well, and a harmful mentality for a beginner/someone struggling with consistency to have. The spiritual practices are a beautiful and healing art of the soul, a gift from our Gods, and a happy privilege we get to do thanks to our Clergy for reviving. You deserve some of this light in your life each day

Never forget!
