Major Temple of Zeus Updates: Now Online

AvatarHigh Priest Zevios Metathronos3 min to read

Fellow Zevists,

Today marks one of the most monumental updates the Temple of Zeus has ever undergone. A whole lot of pages have been updated in a single release; spanning nine civilizational traditions, new ethics doctrines, legal resource pages, and major revisions to our foundational Origins section.

What follows is the complete index of everything that has been added and updated. Every link below is live on the Temple website.

I want to especially thank SG. Apollo Above & SG Thomass for implementing these in the sites. When you read them, you will understand their magnitude. Our Doctrines have been updated and expanded. A most important Ethic on Death and Slaying has been written [so you can know how it operates]. There has also been a serious update so you know your legal rights in general [not legal advice; but upgraded the full section].

Lastly, the most important section of the central page "Temple of Zeus" has been updated to give a succint and clear view of who we are. And the "Origins of the Temple of Zeus" has been expanded with drastic, powerful and truthful pages that show beyond a shadow of doubt the clarity and Truth of our beliefs.

"Aristotle further argues (V.11, 1138a) that the suicide commits an injustice against the polis against the community because his life is not his alone, but could benefit others also; family, society and others. It belongs also to those who depend on him, who love him, and who are diminished by his absence whose a part of them is also going to die with their death. The man who kills himself steals from everyone who needed him to remain."

We will link the Death Ethics to any member who posts here about suicide.

Thank you HPS Lydia, I was thinking about this quotation, and it occurred to me that when we consider that a person's life is not just their own — not only must they avoid taking their own life, but they must also avoid behaviors and choices driven by blind impulse that could harm their own well-being and perhaps inadvertently lead to their own death.

Regardless of what a person is going through, they must remain fully aware of how they treat themselves, understanding that any situation they later find themselves in is ultimately their own responsibility.

Thus, efforts like breaking free from harmful addictions and self-destructive patterns must not be undertaken for oneself alone, they must be undertaken for the sake of those around them, for society, for the world, and even for their own deeper nature.

So much to catch up on, thank you High Priest Zevios Metathronos for continuing to elevate all of us higher in the Temple of Zeus. Without you and the other Clergy we would be nowhere near to this level of understanding, and there is always so much more to understand and learn. Layers upon layers, you gift us all with this incredible wisdom and knowledge and we all learn at our own level over time. May the Gods always bless you for your efforts to uplift humanity our Great Esteemed Leader.

HAIL ZEUS, THE CLERGY and the GODS!!
Seek challenges, they bring growth.
Stay the path, your consistency will pay off.
Continue to be optimistic.
negativity is a tool, not a reactionary system inside us.
You cannot help others if you do not understand the self first.

The challenge, the suffering, shows you what you are capable of in life. If one isn't tested into action, then it only remains as potentiality.

This is very true, thank you for writing this. It is a proven fact that people who have a healthy support system of loved ones can break addiction much easier than those who are alone. We were created here on Earth to be a part of society, we are supposed to have a support network. And we need to feel the bond we have to others. So many people these days do not feel that bond, due to dirty soul and blocked chakras.

Welcome to the forums, by the way :)

Thank you, High Priest, for your extraordinary work.

We are truly blessed that our ancestral heritage has been reawakened, for it shall enlighten our minds with wisdom, bestowing upon us the sacred arts to vanquish Izfet and to consecrate Ma’at in our world, just as the valiant Odysseus triumphed on his legendary Nostos to his beloved Penelope in Ithaca, under the aegis of the Gods.

When I first felt the pull of what we once simply considered "Paganism", I spent much of my time voraciously consuming all the texts of old I could. The myths, legends, hymns, poems. Here today, I look upon a gallery intimately familiar to my eyes. Though I never forgot how they made me feel at the time, as a young Pagan first finding the faith of the Gods in this lifetime, I will readily admit, it has been some time since I have read the Norse Sagas, or the Hiding of Amaterasu.

Seeing them again now, is like seeing old friends again. I feel now these texts have the status and grandeur granted to them they were always owed. And I will also say this. What you will find on the site is that these are no mere summaries. What is given to us here is the Zevist perspective on these works. Even if you know these back-to-front, there's still something to learn here. For as well as I knew many of these, there are still things I came away knowing which I did not before. Seeing a new perspective on something which has been a part of my psyche for so long is frankly even more compelling than simply learning something new wholesale. For that I say, thank you once more, High Priest. This is another legendary update, off the back of what has been a mystic time for us already.

Thanks HP Zevios Metathronos. I look forward to viewing these. It's nice to have my favorite readings on the list; in our own central place. These ancient doctrines. Thank you all for your hard work in completing.
