Yes, it is very much possible to use magick to increase learning, understanding and intellect. This can be done through the runes for an example, which are great!

It is important that you choose a number of repetitions that is suitable for you, in that you know you can carry throughout the working.

You can begin this on Sunday, when the sun is shining and strong (usually between 12am - 15pm (if you can). You can also begin this working on the 9th or 10th (day of mercury) of august, when the moon is waxing and very close to the full moon as this greatly helps to increase the intellect. Starting on the 11th is also good.

On a second note: the moon is in Capricorn on the 9th and 10th. If you want to use the moon, then the 11th is the best option as that is the first part of the full moon in Aquarius.
