Hi All I am doing the Kundalini Yoga Basic set from pinklotus.org also found on these e-group files

It doesn't say if you are suppose to take your time with inhales, ie; your natural breathing habit, or do it more "robot" like for a lack of a better term, I assume the former but I just want to make sure.

To rephrase the question; are you suppose to be quick in repetitions or should that specific set take an hour or more? Seems like it would even with only doing 26 repetitions on normal.

Quicker inhales when doing yoga or natural? Any and all advice on Kundalini Yoga is appreciated thank you!

I actually did a full beginner set of the basic one today and I looked in the mirror after the 15 min relaxation period (ending) and my eyes looked like a snakes!! Like I could see my Kundalini staring back at me - IT WAS PRETTY COOL! My eyes looked powerful and piercing. :)

thank you Satan may your enemy be crushed asap

I always try to slow me breathing as much as possibly for two reasons.1. It calms me down and relaxes me and 2. It helps me to get all I can out of the asana.

Yes and certain breathing exercises you have to have quick rapid breathing such as in breathe of fire but ofcourse it is important to do that steadily and not over extend yourself in the number of repititions. I guess there should be a balance of comfortabilty and efficiency.

Totally agree I was not talking about that or the cobra or the alternate. Those all have to be done a certain way.I was talking about when I am doing just Hatha asanas.

Hi, I also regularly practice this set, I think you should try both, and stick with the one you feel effective.
I breath deeply exept during the first, second, and fifth one.
A tip: try "breathing into your spine", while doing the set.
Also It's great to do some extra research about the kriyas, I've found lots of side details, and they really amplify the effects.
