Is it safe to donate through Coinbase?

Once your account is fully set up, which can possibly take some time, it's really easy to donate and over half of my donations have been through Coinbase and I've never had any issues.

I know not many respect using Coinbase which I understand, but this has been my experience with it.

Safe yes, efficient no. Coinbase has a 14 day waiting period before you can transfer coins you buy. I would use something else.

Ah, now I understand why I can't transfer money from Coinbase. I'll wait at least 14 days and then try to make my first donation. :)

Kraken.com, instant access and instant transfers. Not a paid advertisement, but so many times I read so many complications from so many people, and I keep it simple. Deposit, buy, send, all in one go, very fast, very efficient, very easy.

Yes, I'm on Kraken right now, it shortened it to 3 days, even Kraken makes me wait a bit, I bought Litecoin so as not to pay too much commission and to make sure that, since it's a small amount just to test the commission costs, they don't exceed those of the test donation. I saw that HoS also supports Litecoin, so there shouldn't be any problems. At first, I also tried Kraken, but I couldn't buy crypto with my prepaid card, I don't know why, and I linked the card under PayPal cover and it worked for both Coinbase and Kraken. I'm waiting for at least one of the two to work. If all goes well, in 3 days I should make my first trial donation. Then, in the future, depending on my earnings from my job, I should be able to donate increasingly larger amounts. My goal is to reach the maximum level in HoS. ;)

I use a debit card, and it is instant. Anyway, great to hear about your progress and plans. Keep it up, you will surely reach the heights.

Binance is also really good and easy, that's what I personally use. I tried Coinbase and Crypto.com and they are not as easy to use and have slower processing time, and plus, ask for a lot of personal information and documents.

I haven't heard of Kraken until now but from what I read here, sounds very similar to Binance. So these are 2 very good options for anyone wondering what to go with in the future if they want to donate or simply want to get started with crypto.

Kraken is the first company to have access to the US central bank in the same fashion as traditional banking institutions. It could not be more legit than that. Given our timeline, it is only normal for these exchanges to ask for personal information--banks do too, remember?

I didn't know that about Kraken, that's great actually. And you're right about the personal information, but I was referring to Coinbase and Crypto.com, because both of them asked for way too much in my opinion, like, for example, a document not older than 3 months that shows either a bill, salary slip or similar with my name on it to confirm the address and name.

If I, for example, am not able to provide the document, they close the account, even if I already put money on it. And there are many reasons why one wouldn't be able to provide such document, for example I rent a room in an apartment and my name doesn't appear in any bill, or I live with my parent but I work full time and I get my salary directly in my bank account at the end of the month.

Binance never asked for anything like this, only the ID, which, like you said, it's normal. I don't know what Kraken asks for but I'm sure since you say it's legit, it's nothing out of the ordinary, just some identification and confirmation that it's you making the account.

Yes, that is a common procedure to make sure that the person who opens the account is the one who uses it. There is also a money laundering aspect to this.

In such cases, one can not open such an account. Looking for alternatives is the only option.

They ask for identification at the opening of the account phase. I forgot if they also ask for a utility bill.

What is the preferred crypto to send? Stable coin?
No stablecoins are accepted. Currently, the options are BTC, ETH, LTC, TRX, XLM, XMR, XRP. Choose one of these.

What do you think?
Coinbase was sued twice in the supreme court, via Suski and Bielsky, the court ruled in favor of Suski.

What that means is it was extremely difficult to find a solution and that coinbase fights back - right now - there are issues with “technical errors” resulting in missing funds (large transactions might flag it but could be internal issues with the team) I had a membership and did some investigating, got lied to about certain things, and I think there’s an issue with some of its new changes.

Coinbase used to be great before the added fees and tech support that acts like a “no money for you,” barrier - even when it’s your own money.

The fees on other platforms are similar though and with all of the trading features + if you have the membership and are a high trader or even day trader it can be worth it as long as some of the issues are avoided, tech runs smoothly, and you’re really on top of it with error documentation (any issue you notice like an abnormally high fee displayed or not) screenshots for sure.

Everyone can anonymize their donation using https://trocador.app/ with less than $2, using Monero(XMR). Just buy XLM or LTC from Binance, coinbase or wherever else, swap them to XMR through that website, then receive your funds on https://cakewallet.com/ app, then finalize your donation. After you are done you can delete the app and reinstall when you will donate again.

Just past this message of mine to chatgpt or any ai instances, they will guide you, very easy. See, it's only 0.5$ to swap.

Or one can buy XMR directly, or one can stop hiding as there is nothing wrong with these transactions in the first place.
