Safe yes, efficient no. Coinbase has a 14 day waiting period before you can transfer coins you buy. I would use something else.

Once your account is fully set up, which can possibly take some time, it's really easy to donate and over half of my donations have been through Coinbase and I've never had any issues.

I know not many respect using Coinbase which I understand, but this has been my experience with it.

Yes, I'm on Kraken right now, it shortened it to 3 days, even Kraken makes me wait a bit, I bought Litecoin so as not to pay too much commission and to make sure that, since it's a small amount just to test the commission costs, they don't exceed those of the test donation. I saw that HoS also supports Litecoin, so there shouldn't be any problems. At first, I also tried Kraken, but I couldn't buy crypto with my prepaid card, I don't know why, and I linked the card under PayPal cover and it worked for both Coinbase and Kraken. I'm waiting for at least one of the two to work. If all goes well, in 3 days I should make my first trial donation. Then, in the future, depending on my earnings from my job, I should be able to donate increasingly larger amounts. My goal is to reach the maximum level in HoS.
