Much of this is simply cultural superstition blown way out of proportion. Nowhere on the Temple of Zeus website or in Zevism can you find any such suggestions. You certainly would not be making the Gods angry by practicing basic hygiene; this is silly.
However, Venus Retrograde (which is currently happening right now until November 13) is another matter; making major changes to the appearance during this time may not be a good move. Of course, a trim or cutting your nails is fine; this just means big changes. The High Priestess, make a great post on this topic.

Brother Kouros is exactly right. Much of these things are just superstitions. Every culture has them, to greater and lesser degrees. There is an art to correct timing in life and existence, but this is mostly relevant for the larger things. No, the Gods are not going to get angry at you for practicing basic hygiene. This is similar to the stuff you see in Judeo-Christianity where they think God will get angry at you for wearing a shirt with mixed wool and linen fibres, or ploughing your field with an ox and a donkey at the same time.
If something doesn't pass the common sense check, it's probably nothing to worry about. Life is life. For the bigger things, you can always check the Temple of Zeus or ask here (as you did).
Kouros is right again on the Retrograde as well. Basic maintenance is completely fine, but if you're planning on starting a new beauty routine or a wardrobe overhaul it'd be worth waiting a few more days.
