I'm just starting out... I went to buy some candles and oils for a spell...but I first want to be intune with Satan, What's the best ways to get closer to the father

You don't really need candles or oils for spells. You'll see if you read the JoS site that spells are merely using your mind power and don't depend on props. There's a common wiccan myth that to cast spells you need a thousand thingies. You don't really need anything but your mind and body. For example let's say you visualize your aura as greenish gold, you visualize having great money all is yours and you make the affirmation "my aura is attracting great amounts of money which is mine to use as I please". What you did here is a simple money spell. That's it, no props used. For more power you could add a mantra vibration for that purpose (use the Lakshmi mantras for example), and do the working starting in a Sunday, one of the hours of the sun.

Lots of ways! Doing a ritual to give thanks, doing the meditation on Satan on the meditation page of Jos, doing spiritual warfare, joining in on magickal workings, fighting for Satan, and sending energy to him or his sigil!

You can possibly try to meditate on his sigils. Visualize one that works best for you, or possibly cycle through them?
