The balance between Ida/Pigala is extremely crucial for Kundalini Rising, you definitely need these balanced out totally and completely. That is the male/female, electric/magnetic, the two parts of your soul. As this naturally opens up the Shushumna, which is the channel through which the Kundalini Ascends. You don't want the Kundalini to come up through Ida or Pigala, as this will probably be severely painful and cause a number of problems. When the Male/Female sides are balanced, i.e Ida/Pigala, the Shushumna, which is hermaphrodite in nature, opens up, becomes functional and UNITES these both. Which actually is a major stepping stone in your spirituality and mental/spiritual health and perfection. And will make any endeavor of Rising far easier and less painful, mentally and spiritually.
For instance,
The labour of Hercules for cleaning the stables of Augeas is a Spiritual Metaphor.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Augeas
Which actually talks about activating Ida/Pigala, cleansing them and balancing them out. Augeas means "When the Sun comes up", as "Augi" means dawn, "-Eas" gives the meaning of "whom". Alpheus and Peneus were River Gods and sons of Oceanus and Tethys and obviously has to do with Water/Female/Ida & Fire/Male/Pigala parts of the Soul, that are reffered to as Rivers in some Spiritual Allegories, if not most. So yea its of severe importance.

Based on this. You finish position one. On the rest time, rest for like half of the time and do the Alternate nostril breathing two times. Then to the next pose, pose 2. When you're done, hands down, repeat the breathing for 2 times. Then pose 3. At the end, lay on your back for a full 15 minutes, come back and do the Alternate nostril to balance your soul. This further increases the power of your yoga and the outcome from this practice. Just time it right.

Greetings!
I'd like to ask for your help!
My problem is I have to balance my Ida and Pingala nadis.
To make a long story short, because of misunderstanding an excercise my
Ida became quite powerful but my Pingala is nowhere near at that level.
Those of you who are experienced in this please let me know the methods
how to balance them.
Thanks in advance!
