Is it possible to get food poisoning from coffee? I drank a few cups earlier today and tonight, I was feeling nauseous from the Nestea instant coffee and made myself vomit because I was so uncomfortable. I just had to get it out of my system. The retching and vomiting was sudden and violent.
Afterwards I had to blow my nose and there was fresh blood. I also coughed up and spit up blood.
I tried Googling this but did not find what I was looking for. Why would I get a nosebleed? Why would I cough up blood? Have you heard or read of food poisoning from instant coffee before?
I am baffled. I am also seriously considering giving up coffee after this episode tonight. I still taste blood at the back of my throat
Thanks for reading my message, and I look forward to all replies.

If the cream you used was over the date.

Also its not recommended to drink more than 2-3 cups of coffee a day due to the side effect that your kidneys filter out the water but less the bad things like ureum (or what its called), which in long term can cause rheumatic like problems or symptoms (in example).

It is known that in China babies got sick due to milk powder with the wrong ingredients of some sort so it is possible.

I don't know about nosebleeds but I think you might have strained yourself a bit too much. I think someone else could tell you more about that.

Taol, that could be it. I had several large cups of coffee yesterday, more than 3. (Although the cream is good until November 5th.) I guess it was the coffee. It's just that I had more than 3 cups in a day, before in the past and didn't have such a problem with it.
Thank you for replying :)
