I Do't know if I am seeing a aura or a spirit

I Do't know if I am seeing a aura or a spirit  
when I look a some one from a distance ---when my mind is still at the moment I see a (clear) 
aura like , around the persons body-it looks like a distortion around a black hole/that is the best way to describe 
it(respectively) can some one tell me what I am seeing

I think that is aura. I saw aura as that black-ish color as well first, but as you develop your astral senses, you can see colors of aura much better.
