There was a time, not too long ago, when I began to wonder how certain people managed to be successful, very successful. I did everything perfectly, I meditated, I did the planetary squares, I drew in energy, but it seemed as if it wasn't enough. Others don't know what we know, the information that the Gods have given us, the teachings of HP HoodedCobra, HPS Lydia, and the other members of this beautiful community. How is it possible, then, that people who are unaware of all this could be so successful? My studies of astrology began with this very question. I had to find an answer. I wanted to convince myself that success was predestined, so I could put my mind at ease. Convenient, right? The easy way out, you might say. As a result, I fell in love with astrology and forgot everything else, but that's another story.
So I started studying what important people at the top did. I started watching entire interviews of very successful people and, from what I remember, they never spoke negatively about themself once. They have the mentality of champions but, above all, of some who loved themself. Then I shifted the focus to myself and realized that I often spoke badly about myself without even realizing it. They weren't real insults, nothing so obvious. They were little phrases like “I can't do it,” “I'm tired,” “I'm unlucky,” said perhaps even while laughing with a friend or family member. At first, they seemed like harmless, almost habitual thoughts, but there was a moment, not long ago, when I had the distinct feeling that something inside me was changing direction. It didn't happen suddenly, there was no flash or overwhelming revelation. It was more like a whisper: a quiet, barely audible voice inviting me to look more closely at what was moving me inside. It was the Gods guiding me.
It's strange: we spend years trying to figure out how to improve our surroundings, without considering that the quality of the outside world depends largely on how we treat ourselves inside. How many times have we read phrases about this, even casually, perhaps in a Stoic book?
“The outside reflects the inside”
“If you are afflicted by something external, the pain does not come from the thing itself, but from the judgment you make about it.”
“Nothing is truth, everything is perception.”
Many people say they don't have the same opportunities as others, they don't have a chance to shine, etc. But what they don't know is that they have unconsciously developed what in psychology is called scotoma (from the Greek “skotos” meaning ‘darkness’), an area of partial mental blindness, like when a person is unable to “see” certain truths or possibilities because of prejudices, limiting beliefs, or other mental barriers. They do not see opportunities because they are unconsciously convinced that there are none.
Returning to the previous discussion. Almost without realizing it, I began to take better care of my inner dialogue, choosing the words I used to address myself more carefully. I began to observe my inner dialogue as one observes a habit they didn't know they had. And what I discovered almost frightened me: I had become my own harshest critic, my biggest obstacle. So I started to change. Slowly, with small daily experiments. When I found myself thinking “you're not capable,” I replaced it with “you know your worth, you can do it.” When I was about to judge myself, I reminded myself that I would never speak that way to a friend in need. So why was I doing it to myself?
And every time I managed to correct that inner monologue, I felt something change. What do you think affirmations are for in various spiritual practices? Precisely for this reason, to forcefully implant the desire into one's subconscious and then let the Universe manifest it.
The most surprising thing was seeing how this new attitude towards myself influenced the world outside me. People started talking to me differently, in a nicer way. Talking to myself positively also gave my self-confidence a huge boost. I became very confident and started to love myself more and more. And you know what? To all the people reading this post who are looking for love, true love, not one-night stands after a night of drinking at the disco, remember this: no one can love you more than you love yourself.
Self-confidence is the key to everything. Love yourself. Obviously, it's not something you're born with. It's work, it's training. Training? Overcoming the obstacles that life throws at you with your head held high, pursuing your goals, putting yourself in difficult situations and then feeling that satisfaction when you emerge victorious... and the most important thing, in my opinion: being a positive force in the world. Help people who want to improve themselves, make them believe in themselves a little more, make them smile. Isn't that the secret to success? To happiness? Helping others, meeting the needs of others. Look at every successful big business, each of them meets a great need, if you think about it. I envy HP HoodedCobra in a positive way and I really admire him for this. Touching the hearts of hundreds of thousands of people over the years, teaching them the secrets of the universe, bringing them closer to the Gods, changing their lives for the better forever, just as he did with mine. There is nothing more beautiful than this. What a wonderful feeling it must be. I hope everyone gets to experience it one day.
"By helping someone climb the mountain, I realized that I too was at the top"
The vast majority of successful people are unaware of the power of numbers, mantras, squares, meditation, visualization, and the power of the mind. But each of them loves themselves and believes in what they do, with a mission in mind.
Let's say that the teachings of ToZ are like working out at the gym, which is super important, right? But what you do outside the gym is just as important. Do you eat healthy? Do you smoke? Do you drink? Do you have toxic relationships? Any harmful addictions? The same thing applies to life. What do you do after meditation? After the square? After affirmations? Do you stay on that vibration or do you come back down? Are your actions consistent with your spiritual work? How do you talk to yourself? Do you love yourself? If so, why? If not, why? The teachings of ToZ provide stratospheric help in achieving your goals, as if you had the perfect training program. But if you don't follow a healthy lifestyle for the other 22 hours, the results will suffer.
What can you do from here? I'll tell you one thing. Start smiling, because life is beautiful and the Gods have blessed you with it. Start smiling, even if it's forced, even if you're going through a bad time, just do it. Look in the mirror, smile, and love yourself. Did you know that when we smile, even if we're not particularly happy at that moment, our body interprets the movement of our facial muscles as a sign of happiness and responds by producing endorphins? For those who don't know, these are natural chemicals produced by the brain that act as painkillers and improve our mood. Another thing you can do is make someone in your circle happy. Give sincere compliments to someone you admire; this makes both you and them feel good. Be positive with yourself and the world, and the world will do the same with you.
I once read that it takes a minimum of 18 days for a habit to become automatic, depending on the difficulty, of course. Then I saw a reel that said: when a hen lays an egg and decides to hatch it, she does so for a period that usually lasts about 21 days. This is the average time it takes for an egg to develop and hatch, assuming it has been fertilized. It is an act of biological “trust”; the hen does not really “know” whether the egg is fertilized or not in a conscious way; it relies more on instinct. So, if a hen with a 3g brain can be consistent for 21 days based solely on trust, I believe that any human being with a 1.4kg brain can make the effort to try something new and have faith in its success.
I wrote this post with this in mind: to make you even just a little happier than you were 10 minutes ago, to make you smile and see the world through my eyes. I wish each and every one of you every success in love, career, and goals, because each of you deserves to achieve them. I say this from the bottom of my heart and I mean it.
