This is aimed at helping and encouraging new members to do things for the temple. First of all, why?
You heard how people who are longer on the path often say how you help yourself when helping the ToZ?
This is a very obvious reality.
Through meditation, the more you meditate as consciousness opens up, the more you start noticing things in life and see the bigger picture, sense more subtle things and become aware of actions, causes and effects.
This consciousness expansion makes us aware of how serving the temple serves us. This is literal reality. Just do experimenting, do more outreach or more translating, and see how the day will go for you in return.
Then try to do a few days in a row for the temple and see how you will transform in those few days, how facing personal obstacles will become literally easier in your daily life.
It is real. A give-and-take situation. You have to see it for yourself, or the best is even to make it a part of yourself. Then any complains of being stuck in meditation are washed away with progress.
Gods favour us when we favour them.
Serving the temple is not emotional "Muh, I feel good because I did something” or "Eh, I did good, so in the future will someone help me out?" It is a literal live exchange here and now and helps one in ways they can’t understand without meditation, which makes us aware of this; it would otherwise be missed out, ignored and not acknowledged.
So do things for the temple; see how it is to do more, how it is to do daily, how it may benefit you and grace you with more effortless overcoming of your obstacles, and become addicted to it!
It will make you forget the “I am stuck” situation. Because if you help Gods and boost their efforts in our world to make the impact, they help you back to make an impact in your endeavours in your life where it is needed for you!
Donations, outreach, answering questions in the community, helping new people, helping clergy, content making, translations and anything that you know helps the temple, including your personal advancement, meditation programme, rituals and your study. All add up to a result helping the Gods.
This is a major key to success in whatever one needs to achieve.
