How does one know or choose their demon guide

I'm new to satanism, before I was agnostic but I always leaned more toasted satanism and finally decided to convert after reading the joy of Satan website, but I'm not sure whether or not I choose my own demon guide or if one chooses me. And if I choose my own, how I know which will be best to guide me.

You don't choose him/her, Satan chooses them for you.
