Guardians changing names.

AvatarOl argedco luciftias1 min to read

The feeling of a community here is also extremely damaged. It feels like most of the members who have been extremely important for so many years are all gone. Because many of the guardians have changed their names, and there is nothing to see what their names used to be. Many of the members who have been so important and who we have known and recognized for so many years, and who are extremely important with their status as guardians.

They all are gone and disappeared, the names of members we have known and recognized for so many years are all gone and disappeared. And replaced by the new names of unknown strangers who we do not know, do not recognize, and remember no relationship with.

I know High Priest Zevios Metathronos, that is easy. I know High Priestess Lydia Coventina who has kept her name and only added to it. I am talking about everyone else.

Hey brother, welcome back! I have to admit that I felt quite lost at first too; when I was faced with the new interface, I basically had to relearn everything from scratch. The site still has quite a few issues—for instance, the media players don’t always work as they should, and the seek bar doesn't let me scrub forward or backward through videos. Also, images sometimes drop to a new line instead of staying in the same row (I actually saw this mentioned in an older post). Plus, when I click on an image to enlarge it—maybe it’s just me, but it seems to lose quality. I’m also having trouble with bulleted and numbered lists; sometimes they don’t render correctly. There are issues with line breaks, too—often, when I change the alignment (like setting it to center), the site doesn't "remember" the change. I suppose it’s still a work in progress; managing such a complex UI can’t be easy. I hope they make it a bit more lightweight in the future and iron out these bugs. That said, the progress made on the site is clearly visible—the main site, for example, is absolutely magnificent; it’s perfect, as is tozrituals. I’ve personally witnessed several updates, like the addition of a light theme, various bug fixes, and so on. We’re constantly growing, and I’m optimistic about the future—I’m confident that most of these issues will be resolved.

Yes of course there have been beautiful updates with the main website. And TOZ Rituals. I have only good things to say about them. I am only horribly disappointed by the user experience of this forums.

I’m sorry to see that this has clearly had an effect on you. The temple is precious to all of us, so feeling disconnected in anyway is certainly a cause for concern.

that being said I disagree with many things you have said here, I enjoy many of the improvements provided and I love how stunning the new websites are.

i sympathise if you are having technical issues, but you hardly need to spend a large amount of money to access the temple.

i have a wide range of devices , new and old, and even my Chromebook I bought used for $50 can run the websites just fine.

i understand these changes can be rapid and disorienting for some, but if somebody is serious about Zevism, and this place, then I think extra effort can me made to adapt here.

after a certain point maybe personal responsibility needs to be considered .

we have many members who are also willing to help teach and assist learning these new changes. But placating to demands of doing things in a way that are more palatable for any one specific person is not the right way to go.

I usually browse the forums and our other websites through my laptop. As I write, I'm browsing the forums through my phone to try and experience the issues Ol Argedco Luciftias is talking about.

I've got an Android smartphone with an octacore processor. Smooth enough for most tasks, although some apps have been kinda slow to load as of late.

I say the forums aren't inaccessible or dysfunctional on it. I'm typing and reading just fine. However, everything gets a bit heavier indeed.

  • Scrolling through the pages with the graphics feels somewhat "draggy", although it doesn't crash midway.

  • Loading topics such as this one is slow - it took maybe half a minute to finish loading.

  • As for typing, you have to be a bit patient: if you type fast, it takes some seconds to update what you typed. If you give it one or two seconds for every word you type, it flows normally most of the time. If you type too fast, some glitches also tend to happen, such as what Ol Argedco Luciftias mentioned about the letters of a word being cut into separate lines:

T

E

M

P

L

E

O

F

Z

E

U

S

(That's just me artificially reproducing the glitch lol)

Think of the typing experience as when you type out a long reply to an already long thread on Gmail.

I'd also like to add that even on my laptop, although everything runs smoothly, our websites also cause my battery to drain somewhat faster than most other webpages. At least, the ToZ rituals website does. My CPU warms up a bit as well.

My own stance is: I like our updates and I don't want them to go away. My experience isn't too much affected even on my phone. But the truth is that our websites did get more software-heavy. It's still functional on a phone like mine, and if you're patient, the slow loading, "draggy" scrolling, and the typing experience become just a minor annoyance. But it might be a bigger deal on other devices.

I propose that we have a lite version of all our websites, without all of the software and graphics running in the background.

My profile picture is just fun artwork and not spiritually, historically or geographically accurate. Tigers are primarily from Asia, not Egypt.

Exactly. Most things are not completely broken. It is just a lot of small problems added together, and everything is slow and overly bloated. It is a lot better than it was months ago but still not great.

This is the targeted message.

There are plenty of cheaper devices. I paid less than 200 for my phone and it works fine on the site. I know you don't need a thousand dollar phone to get things working. There are older refurbished flagship phones you could consider. Or a tablet. I have a tablet and a phone I use each day. Both 2026 models and I didn't pay very high prices both work fine on this site. I am an older member also I never left just don't type here as often as I did before. But I am still kind of getting used to the changes. I feel you. Good luck and have a nice day I hope you feel better I just want to chime in since I have been with this site since 2004 and never left the faith but I did do some things I regret and make some mistakes along the way of life but I am at least trying to be better.
