Giving the same name of Gods to our pets

Hey All,

I wonder if it's wrong to give the same names as our God Demons to our pets.

If I want to own a German Doberman and decide to call him Anubis is that wrong, will the Gods hate that?

Eh, I don't think it'd be bad to choose such a name for your pet.. I mean it only shows that you respect that God and would like to name something that you really love with His (or Her) name. I don't think it's disrespectful... o:

Yet Anubis [for a dog] and Bastet [for cat] ..ect. i see as an honor to our Gods. If given in respect. there are many animals i know personally given the name "Thor" so than is that wrong??

Personally, I suppose I just revere the Gods. And Their names. I don't want to be like, to my dog or cat, "BAD ANUBIS! BAD DOG!" when they take a dump on the carpet or have torn the house apart, leaving toilet paper everywhere.It just sounds and feels weird to use the names of the Gods in that context, but that's just me.

I understand the respect part but there are MANY other things you can do to show respect to them. See the bigger picture. The gods are elevated and high. Their names are sacred and are their own. Imagine if many satanists started giving the gods names to thier pets and then eventually to their children. That is just too much. Leave alone their sacred names to them. There are many other beautiful names out there. Perhaps use enochian words and meanings as names. That is a good idea.

Because I repeat that you give to something that you love the name of the God. It's not like naming an eraser but something valuable, that has a life and you love.But anyway, Shannon explained better in another post so I'll have to agree with her that it wouldn't be proper to do it.

Well, personally I agree with Blackkat. I really want to get an
Alsatian (German shepherd) puppy. And the only name I can think of for
this dog, when I get him, is Andras. I've wondered myself if it would
be disrespectful to name my dog after my guardian...and I have
honestly come to the conclusion that is not. I love Lord Andras, and I
will love my dog, when I get him, and besides, I want to give him a
strong name, a name of meaning and merit. What better name for my
earthly protector, than that of my spiritual protector? I get no
feelings from Andras that he is mad about this, so I shall call my
Alsatian Andras, unless I do get any such message from my Lord that he
would not like me to use this name for him. And there is my two cents.

The Gods are the Gods. Like Shannon said, Their names are Their own.
Out of all the names in the world, I am sure there is another more fitting
for one's pet.
How is naming your pet, an animal, showing respect to the Gods?

Eh, I don't think it'd be bad to choose such a name for your pet.. I mean it
only shows that you respect that God and would like to name something that
you really love with His (or Her) name. I don't think it's disrespectful...

I understand the respect part but there are MANY other things you can do to show respect to them. See the bigger picture. The gods are elevated and high. Their names are sacred and are their own. Imagine if many satanists started giving the gods names to thier pets and then eventually to their children. That is just too much. Leave alone their sacred names to them. There are many other beautiful names out there. Perhaps use enochian words and meanings as names. That is a good idea.
