It's been nearly a full year since starting my new job, and to keep things short and simple I've went from working 8 hours a day to 14-16 with little time to do even basic meditation and yoga.

My question is are there any other members that have had to live like this? And if so, how have you succeeded in maintaining a consistent meditation and yoga schedule?

With the problem and question out of the way, I should probably give some context:

- I have been a dedicated member for at least 5 years, practicing on and off, though I wish my younger self would have done better at being consistent.

- I have such a high work load because I drive for a living, and the bulk of that time is spent driving (I can NOT do RTRs effectively in this state and drive safely)

- And my major hurdle in being consistent is my work, as I can have days where I'll have hours spare after work, just for the next day to be non stop working from sun up to sundown all while I need to get up early the next day.

I've tried being super strict with my time and I have had limited success, but it never fails I have a hard time keeping this up.

Any advice is welcome. And thank you in advance!

I am a welder and i have to work 10 to 12 hours a day some, jobs 7 days a week. I actually found a way to manage my time. to do all of this, even doing extra workings while getting at least 8 hours of sleep.

On jobs like this i wake up at a certain time. Lets say i work 7 am to 7 pm or vice versa with night shift like my last job. I get up at 4pm. Do RTR'S right away and returning curses with aura cleaning. around 4:45pm i start my workout for 20 to 30 mins. at 5:15 pm i do yoga for 30 mins. Then i get dressed, prepare my food and am out the door by 6:15pm having to be at work by 7pm. When i get back its a little before 7:15 AM (work then was not 15 mins away from where i got a hotel so this will also depend on how long you have to drive with traffic ect. if this is the case with a long drive try to do some chanting in the car). Then i shower, do kundalini yoga and go straight to bed around 8am. wake up again around 4pm and repeat. At times, doing RTR'S during lunch break gives extra time with a 30 min lunch, esp with me also doing a venus square and runic working on top of this, centering everything around the hour of venus. IF i had to i would set my alarm to the hour of venus to wake up real quick and do my working then go back to sleep till 4 pm.

On jobs having to drive long or sit in traffic this can be a boon, as it can give you time to take your rosary with you and chant surya for returning curses, or also munka if you are doing freeing the soul.

You do get tired quick though an this doesn't include having to do laundry and food shopping which when i had to did throw the schedule off due to constricted time as it was. When this happens i resolved to either skip workout and or do RTR's at lunch instead. The extra RTR'S for example on our schedule where some of the ones i have memorized and could do them at anytime during the work hours. The environment is loud so even with people walking by or even briefly giving me attention allowed me to chant under my breath. There have been days when i would have to make up for some things the next day or so because of just going to sleep from exhaustion. It does suck. It actually put a dent in my yoga routine also for abit until i found a way to manage my time this way. Sinus infections from the work area also get annoying when i'm stuffed up and cant do breathing exercises as it can pretty much ruin the days routine. I didn't have it before boilermaking so it is one of the reasons i am going back to a lesser wider range of different types of work to more organized labor soon, hopefully before the summer is over. Working below the mason dixon line in the USA is trash, in terms of mentality, work hours and pay. Union my butt I can't tell there is one

Scheduling advice from a working class woman, who was a single parent: Get up early. Divide cleaning tasks in a 2 week plan. Prepare dinner so it only has to cook when you get back home.

Advice from my neighbour: Sleep well. Rather rise an hour earlier for studying than staying up whilst tired. You retain the knowledge better.

Best and most energetic hours are in the early morning after waking up. Not in the evening when you are already tired from a long day of work.

Wish you the best with the jobs Shadow!

I need to manage time too, I think I'll give your routine a try. I'm a union worker too, glazier. Working in Nashville shit is hectic. Iv never tried to find time to do rtrs at work, but after reading your post, I think I will.

You can literally do them during toilet break if all other options fail. :D

If it wasn't for the putrid smell lol. I could probably also leave links to jos sense it's the airport we're building onto.

Oh it's one of those worse toilets. Damn, well sometimes the war gets messy, literally. :) There certainly are many methods for warfare, but everything is built on spiritual efforts.

Recently, I have been learning about the importance of gut flora of bacteria. There's as certain yeast or bacteria that feeds on sugar. I believe that sinus problem and bad flora of gut bacteria is highly related. However, this is my opinion and might not be the truth.

What I would advise is to find a diet that is cooling but also fulfills your high energy need for work. I cannot say if cutting down on carbohydrates is a good idea although theory suggests that there will be no sugar on which the bad bacteria can feed on. I also do not know if a keto diet + probiotic + prebiotic can provide you with energy needed for work all the while maintaining your gut flora. I suggest you to do your own research regarding this matter.

However, I would advise you to ask for advice from Blitzkreig for diet recommendation that is good for the sinus and also provides you with sufficient energy for work.

After suffering from chronic rhinitis for many years and having tried 10-15 solutions, I have come to the conclusion that sinus and the food that you eat are directly related. The food that you eat is the main problem although external environmental influence cannot be denied either. However, I believe the root is still the food that you eat if you want to remove any sinus problems once and for all. This holds true even if the environment in which you work may have any negative influence on your sinus.
