I have been advised to open this topic. As stated in another thread, I want to imply in the translation of JoS in French.

also something to consider , you have to not be french to respect legality or you will be limited in the translation...

I know enough to allow me to do a decent translation. But anyway I believe that all the translations are double-checked, aren't they? My question is, what I do from this point? Is there any group or something?

We have not a separate group beside the forum.

But if you have any skill in the webmaster field you can contact Sinistra any help would be appreciated.

Also if you just want to purely do translation you can do it and put it in a pdf file for example and then making it available on posting in the topic mentionned.

I translated all the JoS in Italian and this took me several months, then years.
The enemy did not want me to do this and put several obstacles, that I overcome with efforts.
I know there is a lady (don't remember the name though) who put up a website pretending to be some sort of JoS clone, but I think this comes from the enemy so you possibly need to face it.

Stay strong and very good luck with this project! This could also help French French speaking countries in Oceanic, Canadian and African territories.
Also having a French speaking forum would help?

I know what you mean, I have a shit obstacle now as well, the archive where I save my translations got corrupted and I can't access it anymore. Now I try to find a way to restore it. I got some stuff to try but I stopped for now and let the void moon to finish.

I can suggest keeping multiple archives also on CD-ROM, the enemy sometimes had the ability to cancel file on my PC while online.

I wouldn't really recommend keeping the data into the computer. Is not only that they have access to them by the backdoor, but things like what happened to you can manifest. Also apparently a folder is safer than an archive. It never happened to me to have a corrupted folder. There are as well tools to encrypt folders. A USB stick can be the safest way to store data as nobody can access it by no means but is not the most reliable as it can easily get virused and/or corrupted.
