Hi,
I really don't know what to belive neither if it's right neither if it did really happen in those civilization.
What i'm talking about it's the practise of killing babies and people in genaral(with nazism) who have some sort of disabilities.
My doubt rises from an article I've just read online about new archeological discoveries on the topic, which are supposed to debunk the mith that spartans killed malformed babies at birth. Those proves are: stories about a short king with malformed legs, a written text from a medic who describes the way to treat patients with malformities at the arms, tools to feed babies with cleft palate, over 400 skeletons of babies with malformities but no sign of killing and many stories about adult men and adult women who had malformities.
Then with national socialism in Germany it's the same thing i don't if they used this practice. I belive they used eugenics to some extent but i don't know how much. I already know they didn't kill homosexuals and slavs and that the Holocaust is a hoax but what about disables?
Then it comes the moral question whatever they did it or not: is it right? Is it truly useful? I belive that eugenics must be done to some extent but i don't know if the extermination by literally killing disable babies and people it's right. Maybe disable people must be kept alive for research purpose in order to advance with DNA manipulation and find a cure and truly improving our genome. Or maybe they should be kept alive because they are people and not a burden and as with all have our weaknesses and strong point they have theirs and they could be awesome people even with a disability.
Thanks for reading and answering!
Since copying a link doesn't work the article it's from focus.it it's in italian tho so you have to search: Bambini a Sparta la cura degli innocenti.
