I suggest you to start cleaning your aura + chakras, and build an aura of protection around you already. Even before you do the dedication ritual; this is essential.Then, I assure you that there's nothing to be afraid of. :]In the beginning, our Guardian Demon (as soon as you dedicate) protects us, until we empower ourselves spiritually and are able to protect ourselves on our own. You'll see you'll grow stronger by the time and, not only will you not be afraid by the enemy, but you'll be attacking them so relentlessly that THEY will be afraid of you... ;]It's just the first step that you need to be strong to take it. And it's worth it.
