Hello SS health gurus! Hoping for some assistance around this as it has been a problem for quite some time now. Hoping with your assistance I can nip this this thing in the bud for good.
Was diagnosed with yeast balanitis around a year ago. In addition to that, I've on-and-off been suffering from itching around my anus for about 10 years (which eventually led to the formation of a fissure, but that's since healed) - the itching still comes back every once in a while, though.
For years I’d been to numerous doctors and specialists, tried several procedures, over-the-counter and prescription medications, changes in diet, attempts at natural remedies – you name it – but nothing seemed to permanently cure the problem. Symptoms could be treated and would reside for some time, but eventually rear its ugly head after all had seemed won. Doctors seem to care very little for providing me with a permanent fix and keep prescribing me creams that only treat the symptoms.
I have a prescribed cream I can use, but after the problems reside and I stop using the cream, the problems eventually return. I’ve read that if the symptoms are not treated in its early stages that candida can reach the bloodstream and starting affecting other areas. I've tried going on an anti-candida diet (did that around a year ago), and in the past (and currently) consuming and using topically combinations of a number of different things, like raw garlic, ACV (apple cider vinegar), Pau d'Arco, kefir, coconut oil, clove oil, lemon grass oil, oil of oregano, grapefruit seed extract, olive leaf extract, pure cranberry juice, and aloe juice.
I'm kind of stumped... perhaps some of these things I should continue doing longer, others maybe stop? Perhaps using a natural antibiotic like one of the ones HP Shannon suggested in her recent antibiotic post (like colloidal silver, for example)? I also know I haven't been doing enough meditations/healing rituals for this, so I definitely need to get on that - perhaps doing my first ever sun square is in order. I've also never gotten any TCM help around this before, so any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
