You soul doesn't get much dirty just because you have a flue. Having a flue, or other not dangerous disease, will make your immune system work "overtime", so you may feel weaker, but this is only temporary.
The energy this bacteria and state brings, might not be beneficial, but overall you are fine. Just put more effort into your cleaning and that's it.
