Black mirror scrying

Hello there i made my first black mirror at home a few days ago and i tried using it a few times(unsuccessful). I am waiting full moon to empower my ritual tools and mirror but until then can anyone give me advices for scrying? I focus to a point my eyes get blur but thats all. How should be light in the room, should i see my reflection in the mirror because or point mirror to emptiness? I know it is not an easy thing to do so i am not asking any shortcut but i need to be sure i am on the right track.

I have been practicing with my own black mirror and can tell you in over a month, I am only recently starting to see things in it.
First, the JoS witchcraft page had a link for black mirror empowerment, but it also described the learning curve, you start by learning to create ectoplasm for things to manifest in. That takes time and then it will at first only be cloudy, that will in some time start to become basic shapes, lines and curves coming through the black mirror. Then you need to keep trying and will be rewarded, I recently had my first vision in my black mirror, I saw the clouds, those became swirls. And that turned into a vision of the local and largest church in my town going up in flames and a panic filled market square beneath the church and that vision rolled over the city center where that church is and faded. Ever since that, I think is now a week or two ago, I haven't been able to get anything but the clouds in my black mirror. As that JoS page tells, at first the visions will come at random so don't expect them every time as you progress, and with practice at producing the visions you will learn to have them on command with just looking into the black mirror briefly. I have to add, all work with a black mirror is done in trance so also keep on working on that, my only vision was also my deepest trance so far with my eyes open. You have to train a couple of things for a long period of time to get anywhere with a black mirror.
Sorry if I sound a bit negative in parts of this, just trying to clear up a few things for you.

Thank you very much. It doesn't sound negative at all i know i have to put effort if i want something. So creating ectoplasm and deep trance is main part. Open eye void meditations can be a good workout for that. Thank you again my friend. One more thing, can we use phone screen as black mirror because i live in a muslim home so i cant use my black mirror all the time.

Interesting. I bought an obsidian sphere to scry into. I wanted the large one but didn't have the money or space for it so i got a small one. Maybe some day.

I have empowered it a bit, not on a full moon but half a moon. And also a few other random breaths from my 3rd eye into it. I did consecrate it properly however.

All I've seen is some gray smudge appearing over the picture. By that point usually I have to blink which resets it to looking like a normal reflection. When my 3rd eye is better empowered will blinking no longer cause the picture to reset?

I also don't recall there being instructions about having to secrete ectoplasm for a mirror to work? I know I've seen things in mirrors before without even trying to scry so clearly ectoplasm isn't required but do you think I'm better off producing it every time I try? And do I blow it into the mirror or around it?

Annoyingly the sphere has to be super close to my face because it is small, but it fits my stealth requirements. It's about the size of a billiards ball. There is another one about double or triple it's size available. I really want it someday. And I love the classic look of it. A bigger sphere would look great on a well done altar. I'd be interested in other people's choices in mirrors or pictures of them.

The JoS does refer to the uses of alternative surfaces for black mirrors, I recall reading you could even use a cup of coffee as long as it's a still black surface so I'm pretty sure that you can use a turned off phone as a substitute, flat, still and reflective black surface... go for it, take the time and you will be progressing in some time from now.
