Black Magick against connected person??

If one has a fairly strong/deep connection to another person, is it safe for them to curse that person? Or is there risk of the curse affecting them to by the energies being shared through the connection?

That's what I would do, better safe than sorry. Today is Saturday, a good day to disconnect all astral links/cords. It shouldn't take long.
