The date and time you are born corresponds to the planets and reveals and/or determines a lot about you. This is called Astrology and is Spiritual. Being born on Yule could be coincidence or could possibly mean something, I wouldn't over think that.

As for the Dedication, read the JoS website! You renounce any and all former allegiances, your past lives will not determine weather or not you can dedicate. If you are a Gentile and come to Satan respectfully He will accept you.
