As far as your Ritual Supplies go, just do the best you can. I have glass candle holders. It's not a bad thing and has never stopped me from preforming any ritual. Just get what you can reasonably afford. The same applies to my Chalice, I use a wine glass currently. And my Ritual bowl is Stainless Steel. So what? They are only props. You can preform any ritual without an Alter or any props. That being said, I am going to replace my ritual props when I can Fully Afford the ones I really want.
You can use your Astral Temple to create any Alter and Props you desire, money is not an issue in that case.

The second paragraph states that your candle holders and chalice Should be Silver, it does not say that they Must be Silver.
