Thats why I don't base my judgements on things relating online. People act very
different online most of the time. They feel like they can do or get away with
more. Forums are focused groups... but everyone that comes to a group has a
different agenda than debate. No doubt xians are their on their personal "Jesus
Crusade" (hears trumpets playing lol), and then you have pranksters who will
argue or stir crap just because it entertains them. This is of course not too
far out of the realm of your typical Halo, WoW or Call of Duty punk who was
picked on in high school and so he or she has to feel like they are somebody.
In a forum with anonymous identity.. people can be whoever they project
themselves to be and get their kicks that way. Just part of the game =)

Well if they didn't want to talk to anyone with a different opinion, why are
they arguing with the Christians? That's what those forums are meant for--it's
not like infiltrating an e-group, which is more exclusive to like-minded
people--the forums are for debating, and that is what they do, and they do it
with a vengeance--I think the real reason I failed on there is because I did NOT
preach to them, not in any extreme way anyhow, but they only want to argue with
people who DO have extremely opposite opinions. I.e., Christians. Ah well, let
  them have at it...

If athiests became spiritual, they'd be a step closer to Satanism. Athiesm is

like a physical religion, and Satanism is like a physical religion with
spiritual elements. I make it a point to leave them alone on beliefs (unless
sharing their beliefs, because I have the ability to be diplomatic) and only to

relate to them on the things I can of course relate myself. I really do not
talk about spirituality around anyone. I have been through this many times and

have learned the hard way. If you haven't already, you will learn to develop
your intuition and be able to sense who you can open up to.

I say let the athiests do their own things. They really are not intrusive
individuals like Christians who like to insist you believe what they believe
in. For the most part, athiests generally leave people alone and don't care
enough about spirituality to bother if you believe in it or not. But if you go

in thinking you'll find like minds or even trying to convert someone, then of
course you are asking for it. If a Jew or Xian came here preaching or "looking

for like minds," do you think people here would respond in a similar fashion?

Its just a part of the game of venturing into foreign territory.

One important thing I forgot to mention--I did NOT present myself as a
  Satanist,

so in no way did I do anything to make Satanists look bad--I said I was a
  Pagan.

And THAT was more than enough to rouse their ire--I have tried in the past to
  go

on those Christian/Atheist forums as a Satanist and they CRUCIFIED me. So I
knew better, and I tried something else--surely they would understand that a
Pagan is usually a very tolerant individual, right? Nope--the Christians said I

worship the devil, and the Atheists called me "ignorant" for believing in any
God at all! Now, that surprised me, which is the point of this whole rant--I
  had

always assumed, well Atheists must be more tolerant than Christians, Jews, or
Muslims--wrong. They came down on me more than the other groups. they believe
  in

non-Deism, the non-existence of any God or Being in the Universe besides
  humans,

they believe we have no soul, and they emphatically deny anything exists that
  is

outside the realm of science, i.e. "paranormal"--now that is fine, I have no
problem with what they believe--BUT they were so nasty about putting down
  anyone

who believed anything else, that I finally just quit bothering with them at
  all.

I came in there believing that Atheists were probably a tolerant group of
people--but I have come away believing that is just an illusion, they are less

tolerant than anyone who believes in Deity.....I don't come down on people for

no reason at all, but this whole experiment was shocking to me....I came away
being very glad indeed to be a Satanist....

Not everyone is arrogant. I think the important thing you should learn here
  is

that people generally do not like to be bothered. They don't care what your
beliefs (except christians and radicals) are.

Yes, of course you'll get bashed if trying to "proselytize" your religion or

prove something out of ther realm of understanding. What did you expect?

This very damn them all attitude is the reason people think Satanists are
unstable, crazy and dangerous like a loose cannon. You cannot gain respect
  that

   way.

Yes Maxine WAS an atheist for 15 years, but I doubt seriously if she was as

arrogant about it as the ones I've been encountering on Amazon. the reason I
don't have more "mercy" for them as you say, is that they treated ME like crap

when I tried to offer a third view--they simply cannot get away from their
hard-core views that there is NO God of any sort in the Universe. They accused

me of believing in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny...they were not nice OR
tolerant whatsoever, it was a real eye opener. I do have to say that most of
them seemed to have at least a belief in ethics, but that didn't make them one

bit tolerant of any religious (or anti-religious) beliefs other than their
own...that is what I am talking about. But as Allison says, it's their choice

and they will find out one day that they chose wrongly...Hail Satan!

Have mercy on the athiests. They may not be ideal, but they sure as heck

don't hassle you if you believe in a god or not. At least with them, you can
  be

normal and share a down to earth good time... like having a beer, party or
smoke... without being hassled about Jesus Christ.

Some of them one day will see truth irrefutably. The difference is that
they won't be as far along as you, but they will have somewhere to start, and

someone to help guide them. Let's not forget, that even Maxine in her story
started out as some sort of athiest.

For the most part, I don't waste time on Proselytizing. When people are
ready and the right ones, they usually find their way to me.

Yes he does! I think I feel sorry for the atheists the most; they
believe in nothing at all. I mean, yes, they're all idiots, but every
once in a while I do feel sorry for them. When the war reaches the
physical plane, they will be totally out of their element. But, they
did choose their own bed, so to speak. Now they must lie in it. We can
only show the truth to those who will see it. Hail Father Satan!

tragic because they don't even believe they have a soul! No chi, no
