I've been out on the Amazon.com forums, and I think I'll give it a rest for awhile. We know what we think of Christians, and Atheists aren't much less tragic because they don't even believe they have a soul! No chi, no prana, no aura...they think it's all just chemicals. All I can say is, let them go look at a dead body and tell me it had no aura while it was alive, as opposed to when it is dead and obviously "something" is gone that was there before. Idiots! Yes Pythia WAS an atheist for 15 years, but I doubt seriously if she was as arrogant about it as the ones I've been encountering on Amazon. the reason I don't have more "mercy" for them as you say, is that they treated ME like crap when I tried to offer a third view--they simply cannot get away from their hard-core views that there is NO God of any sort in the Universe. They accused me of believing in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny...they were not nice OR tolerant whatsoever, it was a real eye opener. I do have to say that most of them seemed to have at least a belief in ethics, but that didn't make them one bit tolerant of any religious (or anti-religious) beliefs other than their own...that is what I am talking about. But as Allison says, it's their choice and they will find out one day that they chose wrongly...Hail Satan!

I get it. I don't make my judgements based off forums I hang out in. Forums
are more focused and where like minded individuals hang out in. Forums also
have the tendency to have regulars who think they are god because of their forum
status. Its an ego thing. In the real world, most people aren't as big as they
portray themselves to be.
In the physical world, you will find it is not as focused. I make it a point
not to bring up anything remotely spiritual or religious around athiests. Its
just the way they are; I leave them alone, just like I expect a Xian to leave me
alone. I don't care if anyone believes what I believe, or even if their
interested. I'm a solitary practitioner for a good reason as its more fruitful,
though group dynamics do bring out interesting elements that sometimes teach me
things. As long as they do not cross me and they don't stand in my way, I don't
really care, as there are more important things to focus my energy on.

I get it. I don't make my judgements based off forums I hang out in. Forums
are more focused and where like minded individuals hang out in. Forums also
have the tendency to have regulars who think they are god because of their forum
status. Its an ego thing. In the real world, most people aren't as big as they
portray themselves to be.
In the physical world, you will find it is not as focused. I make it a point
not to bring up anything remotely spiritual or religious around athiests. Its
just the way they are; I leave them alone, just like I expect a Xian to leave me
alone. I don't care if anyone believes what I believe, or even if their
interested. I'm a solitary practitioner for a good reason as its more fruitful,
though group dynamics do bring out interesting elements that sometimes teach me
things. As long as they do not cross me and they don't stand in my way, I don't
really care, as there are more important things to focus my energy on.

yeah but I thought the idea of those forums was "debate"--I figured they might welcome a different opinion, but I was wrong, alas. You are right though, that probably the best thing is just to leave them alone because they obviously don't appreciate an alternative opinion...I've kinda found that out the hard way.
