A little confused.

I am very new to Satanism and I'm researching it as much as possible and working on my chakras before I commit to it because I do not take Satanism lightly or as a joke by any means and I want to make sure I'm prepared for it. Yesterday I asked Satan for guidance in the right direction and for him to come to me to help me find my way. A few minutes later I layed down and started to fall asleep. I was completely aware of my surroundings but I could not move. All of a sudden I was overcome with a huge adrenaline rush and thenI strong fear. I finally snapped myself out of it. I don't not fear death because I have faith in Satan and I want to follow. What happened? Did I do something wrong?
