This probably gets asked about a lot here. I'm a relatively young adult male if it's important. My issue with sex and porn is an addiction that leans towards a compulsion, and it has a serious negative impact on my will, confidence, and self image. It's rooted in emotional issues and traumatic experiences from my childhood. My birth chart and spiritual journey so far leave me strongly believing that this is karmic and has been accumulated on the soul. We're talking deeper than just a habit to drop. It's like I've always been magnetic to sexual misfortune, and I am cripplingly dependent as a result. The intensity of this, and other issues, has me weary of opening my sacral specifically. Is there such a thing as a chakra afflicted enough to have opening concerns, or should I just open it and start a working? How do I recover from heavy sexual karma?

It's better to start opening all chakras regardless. You might have a lot of sexual energy that cannot flow properly because the chakras aren't opened. Do not hold back from advancement.
If you really think it's a deeper issue, look into your chart, Mars specifically, which rules sex and sexual energy, as well as Venus, which rules romantic relationships with women and sex involving love, as well as the Moon, which rules over all the women in your life in general, or even Saturn which rules over addictions, and your chart will tell you if there are any problems regarding this, and if there are, you can do planetary squares for that/those planet/s (careful with Saturn though) but only after you opened your chakras.
