Can someone explain in a practical way and if possible an analogy as to how it works that a God can be the "ruler" of a thing another God already rules, or how they can both symbolise two things.

And how should this knowledge be practically applied?

I understand they represent parts of the soul and its path to enlightenment, but why does two God's rule the same thing instead of just one.

Nobody has exclusive domain of anything?

How many physics teachers are there in schools in your country?

The Gods have specializations in common with each other, similar to how you and another person are universal specialists in profession.

Think of the Gods' rulerships as jobs in a society. More than one person can have the same profession.
