Your concern is based on the false premise that Gods do not need anything from us, or that we are insignificant compared to the Gods. A thoughtform is not the only thing that takes and uses power; Gods can do this and do this at much higher degree of efficiency and talent than we can.

You can put the same gas into a shit car or a high end one, but the latter is a much better vehicle for the task. The power rituals serve as the mechanism for us to do this for that God, rather than putting the same runic energy into a thoughtform.

The second part of this answer deals with localized power. You are assuming the Gods have or can apply infinite energy into every area of existence at equal efficiency, or in some other configuration that does not need our assistance. However, this is our planet, our dimension, our soul, and we have a strong influence over what goes on. In fact, the Gods cannot do much if we refuse, or if we shut them out.

Notice how the enemy tried to hide and block the Gods from us, as well as slander them to us. This is because we are the limit, not the Gods. The Power Rituals empower the local influence of the God here and within us, thereby working against this limitation.

The more we give to them, the more is returned, as this is like a partnership with an elite and benevolent partner who can teach you how to create gold out of your existing circumstances. This is very important now, due to the dire circumstances of the world, but such a partnership will also continue beyond now, as we continue to grow and will develop new ways to associate and work with the Gods.

We do our part now and clear out the damage that the enemy has created, so that the Gods can better help us, so that we can better work for them, and this continues in beautiful harmony forever, but only as long as we fight for it and create it now, which won't happen if defeatist mindsets are present.

I’m getting the feeling that they could very well be that.

Thoughtforms do not have such a precise physical description (just open the page about ToZ Demons, for example the High Rank ones). Obviously by connecting to them you will feel their energy because Demons are powerful and it is normal to feel their power.

Why would a God need us to clean and empower them?

So you don't do the chakra energy breathing because you are not a thought form, you don't need to empower yourself? And if a God offers to help you, do you refuse his blessings because "I am not a thought form, don't treat me as if you were taking care of an energy package"?

Why would a God need us to affirm to them how powerful they are or why do we need to return the curses sent to them by yehuborim and others, can’t they do that themselves?

It is not so much the Gods who have been cursed by the yehuborim. But humans have been cut off from this bond with them. This is why our Hp Zevios Metathronos always explains that these rituals help to connect with the Gods.
