Godess Lilith has also been called as Kali , and kali is another form of Parvati who is the form of Shakti.
( you can read it in the Library - Lilith also called Kali)

Shakti Has many forms , and each form has an sacred animal companion , yet people eat beef ???

Atleast in Dharma , we do not eat Non-veg as we believe in the sacredness of every animal.

Animals are sacred. They're also tasty and nutritious.

Sacredness of animals came out of confusing soul veneration with worship.
The cow was always meant to be eaten, it was the animals "soul" being celebrated before slaughter that began a misinterpretation of facts. The animal was meant to be treated well before being "processed",
in the belief that the slaughtered cow would reincarnate as another cow to live the existence again by the Gods so humans had replenishable food.
Somewhere earlier on the soul veneration was witnessed and misinterpreted as the animal being more than food.
Humans, sometimes we're just not that smart.

Plants are sacred too, they have prana and are living creatures. I wonder what Hindus will eat after they realize this, because that rules out vegetables, fruit, rice, etc.

If anyone doesn't want to eat something that has/had life, you'll have to eat only candy. Not even chocolate, because that's from the cacao plant.

No you can't eat anything because everything is derived from plants and animals. Even base chemical compounds are natural minerals, is the Earth not sacred, after all?

Good point. I guess they will have to stop eating anything until technology advances to create weird food that is not from anything on Earth. Could be a few centuries though.

Considering no new matter can be created or destroyed, everything in the Universe is pure light, and thus, honorable. So they've got a hard quest upon them.

...they do realize that, through such a belief, they claim that everything in existence is honorable and deserving, except them?
How is that not a destructive belief?

Does plants and trees have souls?

It's a question I had, I know these are alive I can see that, and you can see their impact on nature.

But these seems different from other lifeforms, such as animals. Bacteria and the like then?

Hinduism has it's roots in Animism, but they probably only uproot what they eat, same way Pagans only killed what they ate. Then utilize the furs, tusks, horns, and even the bones for percussion instruments.

Everything that is alive has a soul. Very different souls from us, not to be confused in any way to be like our souls, but they do have a soul. And they reincarnate as well, in a process that is more automated than ours.

It's just the natural way of the universe, there is a type of magick within everything that governs life.

Does this mean that plants have souls too? Just like animals.

The consumption of beef was not prohibited in Vedic era, only during post-vedic periods did this gradually emerge. Notably after the introduction of Buddhism and Jainism, but prominently emphasized during the era of the Smriti texts (200 BCE - 500 CE)

The cow was highly revered as a source of milk, and unpastured milk was known as a "wonder food". Especially with the certain cow breeds which were thought to have derived directly from the gods, such as described.

And also drought breeds, as they were very important in crucial times.

Basically it's synonymous to the idea of not killing a plant when it has the ability to bare many fruits. Modern Hinduism is mostly a corruption and misinterpretation of a lot of things.

Animals are sacred, we owe them for our existence as they've been important in our survival and evolution.
