Greetings,
I've been reading some of the updates on the main site and in preparation for the upcoming holiday I've also gotten back to one of the most important passages of The Book Of The Dead (one of my favorite books that I go back to throughout the years and always find new pearls previously left unnoticed) which is referenced and used in the procedure laid out for the night of Genesia.
I understand why these particular 12 negative confessions were chosen but I've gone over the entire text and looking at it with my persent eyes, there's a question that maybe some of you wiser and more educated siblings or clergy can answer at least partially if not in full. The question is this:
Since the remaining 30 denials are also worth examining even though some may be of lesser importance and gravity compared to the 12 that were chosen, would someone care to explain in short how these should be properly interpreted?
Some seem to be straight forward and obvious but still need a bit of context to grasp their full meaning while others could have a cultural aspect that eludes me/us which is making them less obvious. Than again, it might be just me and my limited understanding or overthinking here. For exemple, how would you interpret this one: "I have not penetrated the penetrater of a penetrater" and why did they consider it important to be mentioned among the others?
Thank You for bearing with me on this one. I believe that there is much to be learned from this and the entire pyramid texts and gained from implementing it once it's been understood.
