It sounds like the Sanskrit Asura, or the Rakshasa, the descendands of Adharma, chaotic or evil "spirits"/cosmic energies.

Azura is one of the Daedra. She gives you the artifact Azura's Star which is basically like a Grand Soulgem, but it can be refilled and used an unlimited number of times without being destroyed like a regular Soulgem. With quest options, you can choose for this to be turned into either the White Star or the Black Star. The white star can only be filled with white souls like mammoths or other grand level animals, but the black star can be filled with both white and black souls.

Probably Asura is the right word.
